El Presidente Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I was reading of Smoky's cigar bar Bloomfield Hills adding a golf simulator. Their club is membership fee based and no doubt the golf angle would appeal to a percentage of the club. Most of us have experienced the traditional Cigar Lounge offerings. In most cases there is nothing wrong with them at all. Traditional, functional. However what if you could "redesign, reimagine " the cigar lounge. You are building your own place and I will supply. Thinking outside of the box, what would you include?
Popular Post BoliDan Posted April 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 18, 2023 Different rooms with different themes. One sports barish, multiple tvs with different sports. barcaloungers with headphones so you can tune in to sound of any of the tvs. Another nice dark Irish or English pub with a whiskey bar that's quiet and meant for conversation. Havana room with jazz (sometimes live) and a rum bar. Outdoor deck or roof seating. And the VIP room jungle theme. With a waterfall, dancers and a bartender in a gorilla suit that only recommends banana daiquiris. If you order something else the bartender gets mad and throws fake poop at you. 7 1
PuroDiario Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Work space, lounge space, bar-cocktail space. 3
CyrusTheOk Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 A room to rent out for friends and private gatherings (poker night at the lounge etc) Office area for those who work remotely Dog friendly area outdoors nothing like saying you are taking the dog out and sneaking in a nice smoke 4

Edwhatever Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Majong rooms seems to be a very popular option in China. If I were to think outside the box it'd probably be a cigar lounge attached to a Chiropractor/massage therapy clinic. It's good for those who sit all day at the office, at home, and at a hmmm... cigar lounge perhaps? It's a weekly/bi-weekly visit anyway so why not do both at the same place? 1
Corylax18 Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 @Edwhatever's post got my mind ticking. Here in Colorado there are several Strip Clubs attached to/shared ownership with Strip Clubs. I've heard they Mint money. I wouldn't be a regular attendee, but I have a feeling a cigar bar, that just happened to have some "Adult Entertainment" would mint money too.
Popular Post Fuzz Posted April 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2023 Yeah, well I'm gonna open up my own cigar lounge, with blackjack and hookers! In fact, forget the lounge! 2 6

LizardGizmo Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Similar to the morning train commute for those who travel to work, I’d like a “quiet car” portion of the lounge. Sometimes I just don’t feel like chatting for whatever reason. Maybe I just want to read a book or do some work on my computer… I wish I could do that without the pressure of having to engage everyone who walks in looking to have a convo. At other times, that’s exactly what I’m looking to do.My lounge has a golf sim and I’ve built up probably a hundred unused hours on it at this point - not part of the attraction for me. 2
Popular Post 99call Posted April 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 19, 2023 - A cigar divan inside a tropical Victorian Botanical garden - Koi carp ponds, tropical butterflies......... NO Birds! - Cuban seed tobacco plants growing inside the garden - Limited menu of classic dishes served. basically the menu at The Wolseley - Fully stocked bar - No loud mouths/dick heads - No dress code - Old school silver service. No tablet menu's. No bullshit insta fads. No pressure to turn tables over. No "Are you happy with your food ok every 5mins", No "thats not my job, I only do drinks, or I only do bills bullshit etc" - No poor or rude treatment of staff 8
Meklown Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Asian KTV Or, a membership club. Fixed monthly fees with cigars and whiskies sold at (close to) cost. Strictly no takeaways. A mix of private / communal space. 1
jakebarnes Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 My lounge has a lot of the features mentioned here. However, would give it up for the atrium idea of @99call. Members area is 2 floors with a B&M on first floor. Quiet room is the quiet room unless reserved for an event. BYOB with on-site storage for that and cigars by way of locker. Club is owned by a developer that owns 4 restaurants on the block, so you can get meals brought to you from any of those 4 at a member rate (ranging from Italian, bbq, new american/farm to table). Billiards and a room for poker on the third floor. Really nice front patio which I love in the summer (going back to our discussions about preferring cigars outside). Usually pretty shielded from the wind. Would love a golf simulator though, but I also have that at my gym. Probably better that I keep spending more time at the gym than the lounge.. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Offer a high end hand car wash "spa" or detailing services. What's better to do than have a cigar while watching your pride and joy be detailed or washed! 2 1
