to me, this cigar is perfect for what it is trying to be: a tasty small cigar. i get that some folks don't like short cigars, but for those of us who routinely find ourselves with a 40-60min window and want to enjoy a tasty cigar, the huhc fits the bill.

Can you even get 60 minutes of duration with these? I wouldn't think so.

I've tried at least half a dozen from various sources but I've never had a good one...great draw, well made, no real flavour. The Monte Medio beats it hands down

The size doesn’t appeal to me.

i don't, but i generally get 45 without trying. the point though was to fit the cigar to the window of opportunity. a 60min window is perfect for a 45min cigar.

Had just 2 and they were peppery AF. And that's not a good thing for me. Am I the only one that got that?

As for the format, I get the size. A short cigar is always useful in the utility belt. Not to rush. Just to fit in.

No sweetness, nothing though. Just hot pepper. So no. I don't get them at all.

Yet.....

I love these for after work and before bed. I work night shift, so when I get home at 0630, I don't always want to stay up for 60+ minutes smoking a larger profile. These I can smoke in 35 minutes or stretch out to an hour if I want to. They fit my need perfectly.

For me, they are all over the place.

From a "peppery" cigar to a "straight toasted tobacco" cigar to a "cake/shortbread/toasted tobacco" cigar to a "charred sugar cane/shortbread/cofee" cigar.

I have been blessed by having the latter of those over the past month.

However if I were to work it out as a %....from the hip....10% 50% 30% 20%

Consistency at its finest ;)

That is not a "typical" Upmann profile by any means. Yowza!

I buy the hell out of them. Delicious little smoke that will last about 50 min to an hour if you take your time. Good value here.

Great. 110% quality assured then.

I've noticed that if these are plugged and you perfecdraw it - you create a direct tunnel hole & it burns way too hot

like smoking charcoal

That happens when you go too deep (it's especially a problem on shorter cigars, and generally won't happen on longer cigars unless you go in from both ends).

But what I do to avoid it, is to keep using the perfecdraw on the head, a half inch or inch in, and not going any further. Generally the tightness is at the head and even if it isn't gutting the heard usually helps enough with the draw.

I love a short smoke, so this Vitola is delightful. Have had some wonderful boxes and some not so great boxes in the past, age hasn’t played a factor in my experience with the variance of the boxes I’ve tried. 3-5yrs seem to be the sweet spot for me, older ones I’ve not had too much luck with and fresh/young ones are not so great in my experience so far.

Have found it to be a great entry cigar for friends and family who are not cigar smokers, which itself is a superb factor when considering a HUHC
