Popular Post dominattorney
Time for some free wheeling cigar reviewing and some free wheeling golf. Who doesn't love a scramble with free drink tickets? Someone perhaps without a soul. Figured I'd start off with a Cohiba siglo III in a cardboard pateca from our host in one of the review sampler prizes. This is my favorite easily imaginable Cohiba cigar, and I have a few boxes of it lying down in the humidor. Figured I'd start the spring off with this one though for fun and because I wanted to give something a try that popped into my mind from the how long you giving Trinidad thread. Construction and burn on this example are just perfect. Also the nice easy flavors of this cigar are wonderful. First third is mild hay and grass with a little citrus. Though it's moderately windy the cigar doesn't need a touch up at any point. Second third the body picks up slightly but still the flavors remain mild. Grassy and a little citrus with some lightly roasted coffee bean predominate. The group I'm with doesn't choose me for my looks. Of that we can be reasonably certain. My driver is talking today though and we are having a blast. Hit a nice bomb with the wind at my back that carried over 400 down hill to secure the long drive contest. Cigar is neglected, and I forget to photograph the final third. However, it is memorable. Just an easy companion. Don't have to fight to keep it lit or fuss with the burn line. Puff when you feel like it and receive reliable flavor. If only all my siglo III were this consistent. If only all my cigars were. Oh well. Solid 1 out of the 0 to 1 scale. 12
RDB
Nice review, and I particularly approve of your rating scale. It’s a good reminder that Cohibas are often simply decent, enjoyable but fairly ordinary cigars. Which was just about ok under the old pricing regime, but won’t be in the new world.

I love that rating scheme but I cannot take credit for it. I saw it on another review from a different member and adopted it.
Chibearsv
Nice review. Love hitting a bomb but 300 down wind is the best I’ve got anymore. Ah, to be young again. I could hit my Cleveland persimmon 325. Nice pop, congrats! 1

As do the near 50 mph gusts that have come to be the norm this spring.
