Great review and I really enjoy the JL1. Not sure if you’d know it but many years ago there was a TV show called the Odd Couple. Two opposite guys living together, you guys remind me of them often when I watch your reviews. Classic.

Oh come on.  There's a deck or a patio somewhere for you to meet up.  Or does Rob not invite you onto that lovely patio he's got?  The vids are more fun when you and Rob are together to toss barbs at each other.

The world has changed!

Our camera gear was stolen last year and yet to be replaced. Once it is we will do the occasional on site review.

I couldn't love this cigar any more. 

The interplay of the following:

- The background DNA of JL's Choc Orange spine

- The extra element of cream lacking in the J2

- The grown up astringency of the tannic woods

- Finally the slight touch of umami, a sour butter, brioche unctuousness

This cigar has got character in oodles, one of the few cigars in the current portfolio still capable of putting you on your arse with a big nic slapdown.
