El Presidente Posted October 6, 2021 Author Posted October 6, 2021 Would it be fair to say that it would be hard to find 5 regular production cigars left from the above responses ...and they largely remain unlisted because few smoke them 2

NSXCIGAR Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 I think I misread the question. My response was to a complete cigar novice, not a CC novice. For someone familiar with NCs but not CCs I would say: RyJ WC Mag 50 Fonseca No. 1 All would be far too bland for a NC smoker to really get right away. I would want to really give an NC smoker a showcase on how good CCs can be. I would want them to smoke a SW, Esplendidos etc. Try to convert them.
joeruby Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 BBF - based on strength RyJ Cazadores- on strength Part Culebras - will confuse them 😳 1
Greenhorn2 Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 No Lusitanias Cohiba of any kind, or Sir Winstons.
treberty Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 No Cohiba. Let's say Coro. No Trinidad. Let's say Fundadores. No Bolivar. I have the BF in mind. I would probably go with a Montecristo 4, just because it's so common and yet good.

They smoked one and bought a box, lol! Mag 46 would definitely be a cigar I would recommend for a NC smoker. Something beefy with direct flavors or something very rich. In other words, not the Mag 50. 1
Meklown Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 prez, so in the end, what was the bet and did you win that pineapple?

While we're on the extreme digression, I find this highly amusing for some reason I can't explain: https://youtu.be/LQBsdtoSF8Y
RDB Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 This is only a mess because we don’t know what sort of ‘newcomer to CC cigars’ we are dealing with here… If they are completely new to smoking then obviously you go light-bodied. If they are already smoking heavy NCs then the opposite.
