BTWheezy Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 Hi friends - I need to get a gift for a friend who is a long-time cigar enthusiast, and I’m seeking creative ideas. Hopefully something interesting or unique. Budget is probably $100 or less. Thoughts? Thanks Wheezy
El Presidente Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 For cigar loving mates, I am a huge fan of books with a cigar theme......but a tad quirky. I collect them as I see them. It could be fiction/historical fiction/history etal. You tailor the book to your friend. Personal not on the inside cover and you have a great gift. 3
Meesterjojo Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 What he said. Books. But I'm also a fan of ashtrays. Especially antique stand ashtrays. They're usually pretty cheap. And who doesn't need one? On that, I recently found that stinky brand males a car ashtray. Mine is due Wednesday. I'm very excited. About $25 and it firmly holds your cigar. Combine with a book. Bam. 3
KCCubano Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 I just picked up The Cuban Cigar Handbook for myself. Bought off Amazon. Its a fairly recent edition. Looks like a nice read. About 300 pages. Good for a DC while reading. Yet to start it. That and an ashtray would be nice. 2
NicPac Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 You don’t need to get me a gift buddy. The NicPac Cab was plenty generous. 3

We love them. Ali express to the rescue. Next level may be to create our own crest for our smoking club for patches for the jackets. Admission standards are very flexible as long as one smokes good cigars. 3

It needs a rest in the humidor to get the right aroma, but the leather and stitching are pretty nice for $70. Even when not traveling it is an easy grab for the lighter, cutter, bleeding tool, perfect draw when heading outside for a smoke, perfect on the golf cart. Verily. It looks great and that price is worth it. I have the peter james cigar pouch. Purse. Whatever. I like it. Feels nice. But I don't get the $500 of use out of it, and I don't think its anything special. In fact I'm about to order one of these firedogs now. It's like $60. 23 hours ago, Rhinoww said: Exactly. Any recommendations for a smoking jacket? As it stands I'm going through smoking t-shirts and pants for every smoke. I'd like something more like a dressing gown in length, but you know, stylish.
rcarlson Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Just send me the cash, Wheezy. No need for a gift card. 1

It’s been a few years since I got mine on AliExpress. I think the key is a heavier jacket. The bigger the better. I was using a barn jacket for a while as my designated smoking jacket, then when it got cold I moved to an insulated overall/jacket combo in blaze orange. Always on sale when deer season ends.
