Worth selling if it goes around 100K hoping to buy at a lower price?

I don’t invest in nonsense like Bitcoin. I’ve got all my money tied up in Upmann futures

I'm shocked that a non-productive, speculative asset based on 1970s technology that has no uses outside of pyramid schemes and money laundering could collapse at the first sign of a recession.

Crypto is a fool's game. Buy shares in Vanderlay Industries. Latex is the way to go.

If you subscribe to the 4-year cycle theory, we're nearing the end of the bull run for this cycle, with the top being anywhere between now and Q1 2026.

Let us not forget the 2021 correct that brought Bitcoin down 80% over the course of 12 months.

Last time I thought that I missed it at 42K and never bought.

Many such cases. I discovered Bitcoin in 2010 and was too young and poor to allocate any capital to it. I spent years trading around the $150/$300 range. Finally was able to start really holding coins around the 2017 ICO era. Now, I price my boxes of cubans in Bitcoin and their cost keeps going down!

I'm a "true believer" and I'm in it for the long term. Dollar Cost Averaging is the only thing I suggest now. The only question I have is: Do we get a repeat of previous cycles or do we extend the up-only trend into 2028?

Second time my B ETF doubled and second time I’ve sold half of it. Had a sell order just past my double and it hit it just below the peak. This double was slower than the first one and the next one may take even longer. Time will tell.

Didn't you need a few bucks to buy a shyte load of Bitcoins back in 2009?

The first place I discovered Bitcoin was IRC, on the freenode network, in a channel called #bitcoin-otc -- Over the counter deals were being done through PayPal and there was a bot setup to keep track of users reputation in the channel. I think it was around $7 at the time, this was early 2010. There used to be "faucets" that would give you free bitcoin for clicking a button on a website.

I bought a few boxes of Cuban cigars from an outfit in Spain, I don't know exactly how long ago but it could easily be 20 years. Their webpage said, "We take bitcoin." So I looked it up, was baffled by the whole concept, and forgot about it. Except for one thing: at the time it could be bought for 7$ US.

Well if it's making anyone feel better I missed

AMD

Tesla

Google

Apple

Msft

Bitcoin

Gold

And many more. Have bought into a few of these but quite late and not enough. A few stocks I have bought are down 98% so I'm glad I didn't buy enough of those to ruin me!

And yes I've some indexes too for fun.

It's never enough. Should have bought more / Sold too early. Many such cases.
