Hello everyone, hope you are all smoking some good sticks this weekend. I noticed some places are currently out of the Superiores and I just wanted to confirm, are they still in production as of 2021?

I checked the Cuban cigar website and it still lists it as current, but I just wanted to double check as I am a big fan of this cigar and hope to stock up before they are gone. The most recent box dates I have are 2020.

Thanks to anyone who can provide more information!

Never had one, which I hope to remedy someday as they get very good reviews everywhere, but I haven't seen anything about them being discontinued on any of the half dozen forums I read daily

As is the case with almost all the LCDH releases these remain in current production since their introduction. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding them and I wouldn't worry about them disappearing any time soon.

I've got a box I'm sitting on from April 20 ... Thinking of trying one with my son to see how they are coming along. Will be my first time trying them.

@Spaceman Spiff, you've no doubt asked this question because you've sought these ought recently amongst reputable Habanos on-line vendors and haven't found them in stock, right?

As @NSXCIGAR mentioned, this LCDH release is not discontinued. It may be in a temporary hiatus so that if it's not available currently it will come back in stock. So the next question one may ask is, "if the RA Superiores is in a current hiatus, why?". The answer may lie in the increased demand for leaf to manufacture the recent 2019 RA Allones No.2 Limited Edition and more significantly, the 2019 order by the Phoenician distributor of just over 475000 sticks for their upcoming 40th anniversary release of the Sublimes-sized Phoenicia 40.

I've always noticed RAS having an occasional hiatus for 6-12 months. I don't believe there was much produced in 15 or 19. In fact, it seems most if not all of the LCDHs have an occasional hiatus.

Ah hah! Yes thanks everyone, that all very well answers my question!

And yes @JohnS it did appear that they were out of stock at my usual spots, hence me wondering - but fortunately I was recently able to pick up a couple boxes.

It's a relief to know that the hiatus should only be temporary @NSXCIGAR next time they return in numbers I'll be stocking up, that's for sure. :)

You and your son are in for a real treat! They really start to shine after a year or so, so yeah I'd say you both should give them a shot and see what you think. They are everything I enjoy about a RASS and more, I find there is a lot of extra complexity to them that I don't often find in a RASS (but RASS is also a personal favorite of mine too, don't get me wrong!)

I don't know about other smokers' experiences but it's one of the few cigars I've had recently, that were too humid at 65% and kept going out. Out of the three I had 2 were basically unsmokable as they kept going out, so I then dry-boxed a third with a -62% pack and it was perfect. I do live in a very humid climate but this was really a first for me.

I too haven't been able to find them in stock recently. Its why I haven't tried one yet
