You just scored yourself a 3 day weekend. And every day besides Thursday, you have a 2hr lunch break. :P

When I was a project manager, I used to have 6hr long monthly Project Control & Planning meetings that were mandatory to attend the whole thing, even though I only had a 30min section. Then there were the 4hr long week

I am very thankful I no longer have to deal with my calendar being filled with endless meetings.

Recently changed jobs myself - lots and lots of meetings now. This week I am somehow in an all day meeting everyday + meetings on the side. I am unsure how to clone myself.

Get 2 laptops. Zoom meeting on each laptop (head phone in each ear, and physically sit in a third meeting. I give no guarantees on your level of concentration or comprehension.

Not sure I care about comprehension at this point 😂- I am on mute for the all day one (observing & making notes...) maybe there is a chance to light a cigar to make it all better...

It seems I'm not alone.

Friday is a big day for me and my project team. A year and a half of preparation and planning, over a year of execution. New processes, new systems, new staff. My company's first e-learning platform. We're calling Friday our "champagne day."

The celebratory cigar should be suitably epic, I'd say.

Why just one? Have many!

White space! You have white space?

as Rob alluded to, the only way I avoid my days being gobbled by mostly pointless meetings is to block “prep” time...

Prepare to get out of bed, prepare to make and eat lunch with a cigar following, prepare to end my day when I feel it is appropriate, etc...

My favorite are what I call "meetings about meetings". So let's discuss in this meeting about how there's not enough stakeholders on this meeting. Let's take a few minutes to invite people to the next meeting at which we MIGHT actually make some progress, but we won't. So does Monday at 9 am work for everyone?

You only have a meeting for that? We created a committee and focus group to decide who the stakeholders would be!

Reminds me I need to schedule some time to get Bijan's box out!

The longer I take the more tent pegs get added. Hope it clears customs.....
