Popular Post 99call Posted October 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 26, 2020 Just saw this today, I don't believe it's a well known photo of Churchill. This original photograph of him in Havana, shows him inspecting what looks like a gift humi of 500 monte 2's God I wish I was gifted cigars wherever I went! 19 1
Paladin865 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Just think how much just one intact box would be worth today?

Ken Gargett Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 this from the international churchill society about that visit. interesting that they mention 500 R&J and not the montes. https://winstonchurchill.org/publications/finest-hour/finest-hour-171/grau-san-martin-visit-to-cuba/ 2 2

Maybe he got a 500 humi of every brand going. Imagine getting an ocean liner cruise or private plane back the the UK, and you can barely get into your cabin for personalised giant humidors. What an existence. truly off the scale. 2

99call Posted October 26, 2020 Author Posted October 26, 2020 I remember doing a job for Churchills grandson years ago in Pimlico. He confessed to me. "Wherever I go I'm given cigars, and I don't even smoke". The apartment was full of unopened 3packs etc I remember thinking "I hate you". 1
