Has any one ever had a box with out a date or factory code? Everything else seems legit, seal looks good and microcodes are legible, SA seal look fine, everything else about the box looks good. the PL bands are well embossed and match my other box. Smell and taste is the same as my other box as well, and these are perfectly plugged just like my may 2019 box ???.

Just a normal mistake or is there something more going on here?

I had a box of QD 50 from my source without factory code or date but I trust my supplier as they were an LCDH so I guess it's about whether you trust your source.  Plus he told me before he shipped and asked if I wanted them as they were his last 2 boxes.

Cuba Quality controls but I'm open to be educated but the smokes were great so I think I was ok to take the box.

Yeah, it's a reliable vendor. just odd, and no one in discord group had ever seen a box with out date and factory.

chalk it up to Cuban QC

And who would fake PLMC?

Probably no one, especially not this well, the box is perfect seals are perfect. just found it odd that no date or factory on it.

It is a bummer that I'll never know their age, but I suspect some time early 2019, as they taste very similar to my may 17 box.

Bought 2 boxes of PL Montecarlos. One has box code, the other not.
They are from legit source. And seriously who will fake a PL MC?
Just Cuba being Cuba. Or Kismet.

If I were to take a guess, 1 in  400  occurrence.  Not that rare. ;)

I actually found one La Isla with no code and one with no numbering in the jackload that I looked through in Havana. I’d definitely agree from that limited sampling.

I will say they looked at me like I’d lost my Americano mind until I explained that I was looking for my birth year 19xx/10000 since I’d already found my better half’s birth year. The manager at R&J (Dian....spelling it wrong and terribly sorry but never saw it written) found it for me in his back room and was incredibly enthusiastic. I bought a lot of cigars from him that day!
