If you're going to build cigar man cave in your house, what kind of cigar cutter and lighter will you use? There are two options below.

Option 1 (Black As Night): Colibri Black Quasar Tabletop Cutter, Colibri Black Quasar Punch Cutter, Prince GB-2001 Micro Torch, and PerfecDraw Precision Cigar Draw Enhancer Tool & Nubber

Option 2 (Red & Black): Same as Option 1, but using Cuban Crafters Dos Chabetas Perfect Cutter, Colibri Red V-Cut Cutter, Colibri Red Quasar Punch Cutter instead of Colibri Quasar Tabletop Cutter for cigar cutter

If I’m going for an easily weaponized cutter, I’m getting a quad cut with the arm. For a table lighter, I recommend the Alec Bradley “The Burner”

Thanks! Too bad that I can't source Alec Bradley The Burner though. By the way, do you think punch cutter is necessary in cigar lounge setting?

Option #1.  Though I'm not familiar with the GB 2001, and I'm just not V-cut guy.  They seem to have gained in popularity among the knuckleheads I smoke with, but I prefer straight cut, which works for all for all formats whereas the other two (V and punch) do not.

Have you settled on these two options or are you still exploring?

I'd go with Option 1.  More choices for guests to cut a cigar the way they prefer.  I just looked up that Colibri punch cutter, never saw it before.  It's freakin' cool.  I'm buying one.

by far the best punch I've ever owned. used for several years and have a few of them now. spring loaded, full metal jacket, use it almost every day.

That’s a shame!

I’m not a punch cut person. If I need that route, I’ll do it El Presidente style. I do have a punch and found the results not dissimilar.

Yeah, I pretty much stuck with these options. For cigar cutters in option 2, Cuban Crafters Dos Chabetas Perfect Cutter, Colibri V-Cut Cutter, Colibri Quasar Punch Cutter will be used instead of Quasar Tabletop Cutter. I saw some B&Ms put guillotine, v-cut, punch, perfecdraw in empty cigar box instead of using tabletop cutter on the web, which is the concept of option 2.

Personally, I prefer Straight Cut for now (will try Colibri V-Cut), since I'm not a punch cut person like you ?. But adding it would be good for herf when BOTL likes punch cut.

Colibri Punch looks sleek to me as well!

I have the quasar table top cutter and it's a great cutter. I don't find too many people do a punch cut. Most are straight or v cuts. So option one is my vote.

Also, i would recommend more than one lighter if you have more people. There is a tendency to talk more, and pay less attention to a cigar with conversation. So there will be more touchups and relights that will happen.

Also ashtrays. Depending on your space and seating arrangement, you'll need more.

That's all unsolicited, so i apologize for that. Option 1 is what i would choose.

Thx mate! I'll build 4 people cigar man cave, as I have Stinky Cigar Ashtray (four stirrups) in my collection. The table layout would be matched with a Stinky Cigar Ashtray and 4 chairs. Thank you for giving advice!

I guess it depends on what my friends enjoy as well. I’m a straight cut kinda guy. But if I’m thinking about options for my buddies I’d go with #2. What about a Colibri SV cutter? Straight and V cut. And add a nice punch.

This sounds a good idea! However, I'd get Cuban Crafters Dos Chabetas Perfect Cutter, Colibri Quasar Punch Cutter (3-in-1 cigar punch like this are so rare in the market) and use my Colibri V-Cut Cutter instead of Colibri SV Cutter for Option 2. It's because Cuban Crafters Dos Chabetas Perfect Cutter is great and super easy straight cutter IMO.

Here is the concept of Option 2:

Colibri V-cut is the shizzzz. Buy it

Luckily, I already have Colibri V-Cut! Now, I have to get Cuban Crafters Dos Chabetas Perfect Cutter and Colibri Quasar Punch Cutter! ?

My Cigar Tool Box

Posted

After looking through your comments, I decided to put Cuban Crafters Dos Chabetas Perfect Cutter, Colibri Red V-Cut Cutter, Colibri Red Quasar Punch Cutter, PerfecDraw Precision Cigar Draw Enhancer Tool & Nubber into an empty cigar box, and place this cigar too box with Prince GB-2001 Micro Torch in my 4 people cigar man cave (Option 2).

As I mentioned above, nothing can beat the simplicity and efficiency of Cuban Crafters Dos Chabetas Perfect Cutter (can cut up to 80 RG, doesn't cut too deep), I already own Colibri V-Cut Cutter, Prince GB-2001 Micro Torch has soft/single torch flame feature which is really useful for BOTLs who like soft flame and lighting pipe tobacco. Of course, the colors of cigar cutters aren't exactly match with GB-2001 Micro Torch, but they're deserved to be in my future cigar man cave. Thank your for helping me!
