Different animals as far as I can tell. To my Neanderthal palate some of the more refined blends are E2, Solomones, and surprisingly the Shorts. I have had great examples of all the above. But the best of the bunch have been Lusitanias.

I would recommend you try the Salomones, 898 & Presidentes. Along with the Lusi these are the all stars from Partagas though you are unlikely to find real similarities. The Lusi is in a class all by itself.

Hahaha I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this with new boxes too. I inspect entire boxes/cans for any with wonky ends and move them to the front of the line for pickings. Every single time.
