What's up for the weekend folks ?

 

It's 41 degrees celsius today (106 F), and another scorcher tomorrow. Di is currently having her house painted so there is no chance of getting to the beach.  Our gym is having it's Christmas party this afternoon at the Story Bridge Hotel so we are heading there for a few hours. I am intrigued as to what the hell most of them eat/drink. The good news is that one of the gym owners is a cigar lover (his other passion is masochism) and no doubt we will be in the smoking area outside  if it is not too hot. 

Work tomorrow. Only two weeks until we break up for Christmas and there is a ton to get done!

I am partying hard! Tonight I am at a 40th birthday party. My wife is at a high tea in the CBD for Saturday lunch right now and I am rushing like mad to clean the pool of all this smoke soot that has enveloped Sydney this week because I want to sit down and enjoy a cigar.

Tomorrow we are attending a friend's baptism and a big lunch thereafter and then a Christmas party in the afternoon, of which I've been invited to two. Oh my, which one do I go to? Ho, ho, ho...too much joy this weekend but I'm not complaining. I will diet later...like some time in late January 2020 (because than I have Christmas and New Year festivities to enjoy!).

Punch EL last night , so good.One to many Gin and tonics. Fixed up with a swim at the beach this morning ...a washing machine. 

Cray pots are going in the water today ...getting ready to be yelled at by a couple of grumpy old sea dogs.

Tomorrow is my daughters first dance recital. Dancing to “Spoonful of Sugar” from Mary Poppins. Have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of pollen in the air and my eyes will water.

I have my 10 year old daughters first travel basketball game tomorrow morning, followed by a cigar or two.  Then Sunday is my 19th wedding anniversary, so we will be going out for dinner.

That reminds me.  Tomorrow, some time between the basketball game and the cigars, I will be making a trip to buy an anniversary card.  

Thanks for the reminder, Rob!  You Have no idea the trouble you just saved me.

Just finished my first box pass trades and repacked to pass to next contestant. What a blast. 
Herf with the Chicago boys tomorrow gonna get jiggy with it. After this depending on my BAC level headed out for more beverages. sampling of some ales ready to go for tomorrow. 

Sunday recovery and spend the day with the wife and 3 month old.

Yikes!    It is 33 degrees F this Sat morning here.  Have to return a shirt to a department store.  Damn thing was too short in length.  Then lunch and back home.  Will blow the leaves from the front yard tomorrow for pickup next week.  Watch some football.

Off to Fukuoka, Japan this weekend. Started with some fantastic ramen, then sashimi from the supermarket, and then yakiniki (grilled beef). More food and smokes to come!

Helping one of my young employees move.  He and his wife just bought their first home and once we have finished moving, we shall enjoy a few Monte #2s on his back deck to celebrate their new home.

Heading up to Vancouver BC from Seattle for a gig tonight. Not staying the night on this one, so it’s gonna be one long ass day.

My mother is coming to London for the day so it'll be The Royal Academy, lunch at Zedel (original art deco dining room) and possibly JJFox if I can convince her that it's a cultural thing...and some Soho record shops.

I skied Mt Washington decades ago. I don't think I've ever been colder. I mostly remember the wind was so strong that skiing uphill wasn't impossible. Your pic is great
