Edición Regional Asia Pacifico - Asia Pacific Region (18 releases 2006 - 2017) Please note, this include Kazakhstan, India, China and Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Mongolia, Macau, Maldives, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Vanuatu, North Korea, Bhutan, Solomon Island, Kiribati, Nauru, Samoa, East Timor, Tonga, Tuvalu and Palau and Marshall Islands.

The main countries for Habanos cigar distribution in the Asia- Pacific Region can be gleaned from the recent Trinidad La Trova release being presented in late 2017 at distribution centres in Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan (i.e. these three are for the Chinese market), Malaysia and Japan.

Have you ever wondered what nations Regional Editions represent? If you do, you aren't alone! I've assembled this Reference Topic after @Fugu added some more information to my 2019 Smoking Blog in regards the history of the 5ta Avenida Distributor (thank you kindly!) this weekend. I'd also like to acknowledge @Trevor2118 and @ATGroom for their work at Cuban Cigar Website for this information. Finally, where possible, I've utilised information from the Exclusive Distributors links from Habanos S.A's website.

Regions above in bold itialics indicate where I have made 'best guesses' due to limited information. Please feel free to add your knowledge to this topic below.

Agreed. What I found interesting is the fact that the same distributor can change Region Name, as time goes by, so it's easy to get confused. So I was confused this weekend with the 5ta Avenida Region coming from the Alemania Region (or Germany) and likewise I only realised yesterday that Gran Bretana (Great Britain) used to be Reino Unido (United Kingdom)!

Agreed. What I found interesting is the fact that the same distributor can change Region Name, as time goes by, so it's easy to get confused. So I was confused this weekend with the 5ta Avenida Region coming from the Alemania Region (or Germany) and likewise I only realised yesterday that Gran Bretana (Great Britain) used to be Reino Unido (United Kingdom)!

That's a good point and may be a licensing thing. The United Kingdom is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It'll be interesting to know if Gran Bretana releases were available in N.I.

A couple of years ago, I sat down for a smoke with someone who purportedly had been the distributor for a smaller region (which now is no more from my understanding). I got the sense that there was a lot of politics involved, and I think some of the changes might be coming from HSA. Obviously, with the bigger regions, the distributor probably has more say.

I lived in Belfast for four years and the only physical place I could get Cubans was a non-LCDH establishment. Never did I see an RE there but.. Maybe things have changed.
