ayepatz
So who’s the best? As a Scotsman, I am bound, both legally and patriotically, to say Billy Connolly. If pushed to a top 3? 1. Billy Connolly 2. Richard Pryor 3. Bill Hicks Who are your top 3? (Feel free to post links - with the state this world is in, we could all use a good laugh.) slowsmoke
Eddie Murphy would have to be in my top 3, for Delirious and Raw, they are masterpieces. Chappelle too. For spot 3, the competition gets a lot more fierce....

Cayman17
I’m surprised by all the votes for Dave Chapelle. His tv show was funny, but as a stand up comedian, He’s not really in my top ten. Chris Rock’s HBO specials were ten times better than anything Chapelle ever did. “Bring the Pain” is a classic that is hilarious from start to finish. No Jim Gaffigan fans?

SmokyFontaine
Norm Macdonald, Bill Cosby, Maria Bamford. I've had the good fortune of seeing all three live. Maria Bamford really transcends comedy. What she does borders on hilarious performance art. Honoraries: Mitch Hedberg Zach Galifinakis Steve Martin Robin Williams George Carlin Richard Pryor Bob Newhart Dave Chapelle Steven Wright Really, tons more. With what I suspect is a high number of Aussies on the forum, nobody is going to apologize for that hefty gal who did the stand-up special to announce she wasn't going to do stand-up? Name escapes me at the moment. I found her about as entertaining as a fake Cuban cigar consumed through the anus. We'll apologize for Dane Cook.
Colt45
By sad coincidence, Tim Conway passed away today - he's right up there. Carol Burnett, Groucho Marx...... 1 hour ago, ayepatz said: Wake up Australia! The Americans are running amok! ? 1 hour ago, ayepatz said: That’s a big list! No non-Americans? Wow! I’m surprised.
