– Habanos, S.A., through its official distributor for Asia Pacific, The Pacific Cigar Co., will present the world premiere of Bolivar Soberano, ten cigars that have been created “Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga – Totally Handmade with Long Filler”. Its blend, from leaves harvested in the Vuelta Abajo* region, is especially appreciated by the more experienced smokers.

The presentation of Bolivar Soberano will take place on 19th and 20th November in Hong Kong, in an event where attendees will have the privilege of tasting this new Habano cigar, as well as enjoying a few surprises.

Bolivar Soberano (54 ring gauge x 140 mm long) will be presented in a special case of 10 cigars. Soberano is the first launch of the “Duke” vitola de galera, which is totally unprecedented in the brand’s portfolio. This is a strong Habano, allowing the cigar lover to enjoy a balanced and aromatic blend from the brand in a totally novel format.

Haven't tried one yet, but for those wondering, soberano means sovereign in English. Thought that was a pretty neat name for an EL.

I went into the Pacific Cigar Divan in Hong Kong last Thursday to try and buy a box. They told me not available until this week.

I just had one the other day. I thought it was great- complex with dark chocolate notes and good potential for aging. Going to be stocking up on these.....

Bolivars tend to age very well. Definitely going to get a box for smoking and 5 or more for aging...if they are really that good.

I've never had a bad one, but I've had mediocre or..."meh" Bolivars.

I'm seeing them for around $22/23 USD - $30/$33 USD. They are slightly shorter but same RG as the Cohiba Talisman...which had no problem selling, even at a price point much higher than the aforementioned. 

I am curious about what the island/CUC price on these would be, and if they will be readily available like the Part EL17 and Punch EL17 have been.

Good strong but, for now, lacking depth. We are of the opinion they have potential to develop nicely.

Tried one out yesterday. For some reason it wasn’t burning very well for the first 3rd, and the draw was very tight, wasn’t getting a lot of smoke, which was kinda unpleasant. After getting through the first 3rd though, it was fantastic, full bodied, deep, and lots of flavors. Like it better than the RYJs this year (cant remember the name).

Haven't had these but I did have some of the Bolivar Super Coronas from a few years back and they were quiet nice.

Andorra price is 135 euros so Cuba price should be I guess around 120 USD.

I know! Rest of the world prices won't be even close, I just bought a box from our host in 24 24, couldn't resist a Bolivar EL.
