Since 2020? Probably the Partagas Legados. I’ve stopped chasing the regionals. They’re too expensive and too random. The value isn’t there anymore. Some of the responses have been pre-2020 so I don’t consider them.

I have a few already and have to say they didn’t blow my socks off. I’m waiting to revisit to see if time helps, which it should. I remember thinking that it wasn’t a typical RA flavour profile.

We all have different ways of explaining a taste. Relating the sense of taste is no different, but I think the adjectives you use are most commonly associated with ammonia. You likely just need to let your cigars sit or age. That flavor will likely dissipate over time.

They are fantastic. Excellent format too. In all honesty, I actually prefer the Montecristo Herederos, which I got at the same time. I’m splitting hairs though as they’re both classics. Not cheap, but fan-fkkn-tastic smokes.

I’ve always found whiskey at Lee’s Discount Liquor very reasonable and they have a good selection. Google for locations. Las Vegas Cigar Outlet is good for non Cubans, but I generally have my Cubans delivered right to my hotel to enjoy while I’m there. There’s still plenty of good value places to eat but you won’t find anything value on the strip.

We received in excess of 1000mm of rain in November. Yes, that is over 100 cm of rain! Because train tracks were washed out and highways disappeared, Canada’s largest port can’t move product East. It has been a nightmare for many people. Petrol/gasoline is being rationed and only 30 litres can be purchased at a time. The supply chain was already under significant strain, as it has been in many parts of the world, but this has been particularly difficult for the many affected farmers whose region was hit the hardest, which is also the region in the pictures in this thread. A few months ago, this same region was sweltering under a “heat dome” where temperatures hit record Canadian levels in the high 40 degrees (46-48 degrees centigrade were recorded). It was hotter at that time than Death Valley in California. Needless to say, global warming is being blamed.

This “gentleman of distinction” happens to be my wife’s boss. ...one of the most wealthy individuals in my part of the world. The box came from one of Castro’s senior officials in 2011. Apparently these aren’t standard HSA release but are made especially for gifts. I don’t know much else about it and really couldn’t put a value on something like this.

Smoking a Punch Super Robusto from 2006. It’s smoking slowly as it’s slightly overfilled. I don’t get a lot of smoke but the flavours are there. I’m uncertain if this is classic Punch or not. It’s a cigar. Is it a good cigar? Yes. Is it a great cigar? I don’t think I could argue that. ...have many more so will probably leave these another 14 years or so.
