Stump89 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I was perusing a B&M recently and was struck by how obnoxious some NC bands are getting. I'm talking like triple banded everything and giant billboard type things that cover entire cigars. I know Habanos has done their best to keep up in the race to slap as many bands as possible on stuff, but I still find the Cuban standard production bands quite elegant. I love the look of ERDM bands and enjoy the understated Monte bands as well. What's your 2 cents? And do you keep your bands or do anything else with them?
dvickery Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I love bolivar cigars and find the bands eye pleasing also ... pee wee herman gets his own cigar ring ... hey “ it’s Cuba” I save no bands derrek 2
NSXCIGAR Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I keep one band for every unique cigar I smoke. If the band changes, I keep one of those, i.e. I have 4 Monte bands (60-03, 03-06, 06-12 and 12-present). I'll also keep the large and small variations. So having smoked CCs since 1996 I have all the bands from then and then the updates. I don't keep duplicates. As far as my favorite band I'm partial to the round classic design of Dunhill Exclusives: 2
rguinn Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I’m partial to Ramon Allones and Arturo Fuente bands. No clue why I save mine, I suppose I think I might do something with them one day...

Popular Post LLC Posted November 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 5, 2018 Serving tray made with cigar bands on top of a table made with a wine case. Both done by my wife. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6
BG1165 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I like those that don’t need a chainsaw to get off. 3 1
MountainMilG Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I only save my CC bands, but i do like the Fuente bands as well. I didn't like Partagas at first, but it's grown on me, the red makes me think delicious Party Short now lol. I was mad when I found cuff-links and jewelry online that was just Partagas, but they've grown on me. I don't think I'll get a party pinky ring, but maybe cuff-links at some point. Montecristo is still super classy to me, but it was my first CC and first band I kept and my first CC smoke, so I suppose that's also some nostalgia for me. Cohiba definitely has the most ornate, and I crack up seeing some of the fake band pics online.

Nice bottle of birthday bourbon! Good stuff ? 1
Chucko8 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 I enjoy the look of the Diplomatico bands for the buggy and the how the Punch bands remind me of boxing world title belt that would be given out.

ErikB72 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 I’ve said it before but I hate the fact that most bands got an upgrade - I really miss the old RyJ band , a lighter shade of red and the legend Rodriguez Arguelles
