BrightonCorgi Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 I'd say it is a fault, but as long as I know what the code is I don't mind. I use to pencil in the box code if only the outer box had it (throw the outer box out when I start smoking that box), but now I don't really care.
Habana Mike Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 In the distant past some highly trusted vendors would unband cigars and ship them in generic boxes they produced, so a typical practice was to note the date of receipt and use that as a yardstick for aging. I'd always prefer to have the code to know factory and packaging date though wouldn't be terribly bothered if I felt they were legitimate.
