The house backs onto a river valley and the air is so cold this morning that the river's giving off a lot of fog. I know how much @El Presidente loves pics like this 🤣 Hopefully a good ski season approaches!! Cheers. Miss me some Canadian snow. 3

Oh God I love the snow too, the kids and the dog would be so thrilled if we had only half of that!🤩 On the other hand, I definitely hope we don't get any in Paris given the powers that be never invested in any equipment. Two inches of snow and everything's paralysed, such a shame. 6 3
Popular Post BrightonCorgi Posted December 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 1, 2025 Big fan of the snow, but since we tuned our snow blower, we aren't expecting any ever again. 4 4

I love clearing the snow and the black driveway warms up fast in sunlight to really clean it up fast. Kind of a neighborhood challenge for cleanest snow clearing job. Right now it’s 40 and raining. I’d rather it was 10 and snowing every day. 7

Nothing like the 6:30am dog walk, pitch black, pouring rain. Dog wants to take his time. Soaked to the bone, freezing and I haven’t even had my first cup of coffee. Ah Chicago winters! 3
BrightonCorgi Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 For whatever reason my street, the snow packed down instead of plowed. Technically do the plow the road, but my street is pure white packed. Looks like it could be scene from a James Bond movie. Been driving the Miata due to it warming up quicker which adds an element of fun leaving the house. 2

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted December 28, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 28, 2025 Great week skiing in Courchevel with the family. We had some good snow. The 3 valleys were so big, we didn’t get to all of it in 6 full days of skiing. The service there was amazing. They literally put your ski boots on your feet every morning and take them off of you when you ski back to the hotel. Our guide carried his own skis plus my wife and daughter’s skis. Practically every restaurant we went to for dinner had Michelin stars, and that wasn’t even on purpose. And the Apres was like no resort I have been to before. Wild parties on the mountain every afternoon. In short, the place made Aspen look like Camelback Mountain in the Poconos. 24

Popular Post Li Bai Posted January 5 Popular Post Posted January 5 And... Here we go... 15 cm of snow and everything's turning into chaos. Both schools have called to pick up the kids early, no salt on the roads or whatsoever... Wish me luck guys 🤞 At least the dog's enjoying it! 12 1

I know you guys had a 'cold snap' at the end of November, but I wasn't expecting snow like this around Paris in early January! 🥶
