Are there any cigars you've wanted Rob & Ken to review?  I'm just a fan, and have obviously no affiliation/power to make anything happen, apart from actually sending cigars.

Personally I would love to see them review

- Quai D'Orsay Imperiales

- La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'Or No 2

- Juan Lopez Distinguidos

- Dip 4's 1's

- San Cristobal El Morro

What are your suggestions FOH????

I like reviews of cigars that are realistically attainable and the only one on your list that is is the SCEM, which would be fine with me. Haven't had one or heard about how they're smoking in a long time. Probably not going to be around forever either.

I do like them going through the special production so we don't waste our money on any of that if it's not good. I would like to see some more regular production reviewed from the last 24 months.

I agree with lots of what you've said here, but maybe the best blend would be

- regular production (whats hot, whats not)    60%

- special release (any inside knowledge on blends, lay down times)       30%

- aged of discontinued (hunt them down cigars)        10%

Although i hear what your saying about discontinued, or hard to find cigars (i.e is it useful for the average cc smoker?), but, maybe that's underestimating the average FOH?. I think most of us, (when we get into CC's) get very passionate, and very dedicated. Also with trades and hard to find regionals. You may get a situation where someone from France may want to trade an aged LGCMD No 2 for a Monti Conde Belicoso to someone in Mexico   Thats the brilliant thing about the Forum, it actually allows people to chase those dream cigars. and make friends along the way!

Trinidad Vigia from 2017, if you’re taking requests. The cigar received rave reviews when first released, ring gauge be damned. Followed by some pretty bad 2016 reviews (under filled sticks). It would be great to know what the 2017 edition has in store.

I've really liked this cigar, and yes, would be great to see Rob & Ken review it.   God when you think about Trinidad, isn't it just screaming out for a Corona!.. i've recently grabbed some Coloniales and they are fantastic, but I want more

I'd love to see Rob and Ken revisit the Monte C. Pretty sure Ken still has them somewhere.

Did I miss review of Topes? I kept waiting for it and thought maybe I just missed it somehow? If not this would be my recommendation.

I recall Rob saying somewhere a couple of years ago that he and Ken were going to have a Cheap & Cheerful review weekend. Don't think it ever happened though.

he forgot to ask if i had the slightest interest in spending any time, let alone a weekend, smoking bottom of the rung cigars.

Apart from the Hoyo anejados, it seems reviews quite rarely err on the negative. By that rationale, one could realistically buy any special release (selected boxes by the team is assumed) without a review and do so quite confidently...

I enjoy the reviews purely for the entertainment factor ?

you may not have to wait long for that theory to fall apart.

but that said, if there are prestige releases, whether they be cigars, wines, watches, spirits, cars, whatever, you would expect them to be good.

except for the occasional and hopefully infrequent failure, my thoughts would be that any reviews of such products are to focus on the qualities, what they offer, are they long term projects, more than just if they are good or bad. there should, by the nature of this, be very few poor ones.

Reviews on the new releases & regionals that garner interest are much appreciated. There are many reviews available on various sites for the staple regular production CC's for those that aren't familiar but it's always helpful to get insight on the new releases that Cuba charges a premium for. I find the 24:24 tips that Rob posts on regular production that are smoking well to be sufficient.
