Airplane landings....and safe flight Mike and Dana

I think Mike and Dana hop on the plane tomorrow for their US flight to Oz and Havanathon. 

Just getting you in the mood.  It is a short flight Mike....only 14 hours.

Thanks Brother for building our confidence. Good thing we are not nervous flyers. I always say I don't care if the plane go's down because I won't know the difference if it does. Besides with free booze and some Mothers little helpers we'll be fine.

Attaching a picture from a landing this summer on a small aircraft flying from Altamira to Belem in Brazil. Yes, that is all smoke in the cabin. And yes, I was not feeling calm.

Worst landing I ever had. Guatemala City. The airport is in like a ravine. It was foggy, and the pilot decided at the last minute to abort his first attempt. The plane shot straight up and to the right. Then on the second pass, I remember seeing nothing, but fog, then a little mountainside, and then thump! Wheels down on the runway. Scared the hell out of me.

In a holding pattern over Dulles once 737 for 35 min., low fuel had to land, only one runway open do do high cross winds. Plane came in sideways and straightened out just in time to touch down , very hairy .
