I'm hoping it was either too wet (66% in the newair) or was just a bad stick from the box
retrofail Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 The best 2017 for me so far have been Partagas E2 (AMO MAR 17). But I’ve also enjoyed some Partagas Shorts (TOR FEB 17) and RyJ Short Churchill (OMS ABR 17).
agentdaffy007 Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Actually, i got a box of Partagas E2 LAU MAR 17. It was a fantastic smoke. They are so smooth with little spice. I would get another box for sure. LAU has been pumping out good stuff from what i've read.

I've only had about 4 different Monte 2s, box code wise, and these dark oily ones are not only the best Monte 2 I've ever had but also at the top 5 of any cigar I've ever had. Except I'm one the the fans of the dark and oily's haha. I just don't get how some people can denounce a cigar by looking at a picture of it. So many people in the cohiba talisman thread trashing it hard. Saying it looks like a NC. There's literally one or 2 pictures of the cigars, and they look great. A box of Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 2 (BOR Feb 17), and a box of Diplomaticos No. 2 (TOS ABR 17). Both have been fantastic. The Juan Lopez were amazing right off the truck, but I revisited one on Friday night, and it suffered from a poor burn. It's in a weird place in its acclimitization. I had a similar thing with Bolivar PCs. I'll give them another month or so, and they'll likely be perfect. The Diplomaticos have been very good. Medium-full body. Last couple of inches were a bit tannic, but they're only 6 months old. Construction quality appears to be very good on both. I'm delighted. I have some Trinidad Reyes and HdM Epicure No. 1s coming from recent 24:24s, and I believe these are both 2017 boxes as well. All of these have been from our host.

Ive got a box coming in from the same month, but MEL box code. This will be my first box from '17 also, also from our host.
