How are Upman holding up El Prez?

Apologies if you've discussed this recently, I know you've mentioned in recent posts that quality has been slipping on average, I'm curious how the Upman range is holding up? It's by far and away my favourite marca out of Cuba.

I think the upmann range has seemed pretty consistent. I've had recent production Connie A and PCs and they have been great. I've heard good things about the No. 2s but can't personally give a valid opinion. 

Upmann seems to have come up on 24:24 quite frequently recently which, I assume, is a good indicator to recent production.

No better and no worse than any of the other marques. In Upmann Connie A is still their most consistent. 

 

Cohiba is the one marque that has maintained a level of consistency. There are bad runs but nothing out of the ordinary.

Upmann 2's have suffered in terms of quality this year. Much like the Monte 2 and VR Unicos. 

I can pull good boxes but it is hard going.

The best ones age like a dream.  My box of 2011 Upmann #2's from Rob are smoking the bloody house down right now.

I think the Mag 50s are some of the best blended (for poise and elegance) coming out cuba at the minute. My only concern would be, if they tasted like an aged cigar right now, will they have any legs?...........but then again why not just buy-smoke-repeat

My pick at the moment would be Connie A and  HUHC of 15 and 16, they are smoking a dream.
