i see my friend mika27 accusing me of posting clickbait! oh shame, surely every post is concise, relevant and essential to life as we know it.

however, to make my friend happy, the most useless bit of trivia ever.

fans of the show 'Frasier' (and who isn't), the little bit of the theme tune that starts each show - something was a bit odd and i did some thorough research - see, essential to life as we know it.

the theme is a little bit different every time. slightly different instruments, slightly altered tune. if you doubt it, video a number of them and listen to the opening themes. i'd never noticed before despite watching the show a squillion times - because the differences are very small.

why this should be so, i have no idea.

I picked up on this as my wife binged through Frasier a few months back as background noise.

Clickbait Ken.

Should have known. Something about a bar...

The first manned flight in Australia was performed by Harry Houdini (yes, that Houdini), in 1910.

Ahhhhh Ken. Well at least we are indeed friends.

On the topic of Fraser, I too am a fan so your trivia is actually welcome. :)

I have another for you, HERE is the actual story of the Fraser song meaning of Tossed scrambled eggs : Because I am almost certain we have all wondered what the hell that meant.  :D

brilliant!

and he says he comes up with around 25 of those little opening bits. oh the walls are coming down.

as for  the rest of you, do you not understand the concept of trivia? or at least, really useless trivia? all i see is facts about the natural world, science and literature which are all fascinating but trivia? (not touching chuck but that does not fall under trivia - more under philosophies of life). and literature is rob and his  alphabet so we are scraping the barrel there.

trivia, people, trivia!

If you stroke a shark from nose to tail, it is smooth. If you stroke it the other way it is rough, and in some species, may cause skin lacerations.

I don't think you have to pet the shark to get the lacerations . . . just treading water next to the thing ought to do the trick!

It's said that to dissuade a shark poke him in the eye/punch him in the nose...."You're not gonna eat me, are you, Mr. Shark!?" Rubbing his eye and massaging his nose, looks at you and says -- "I am NOW !"
