New Quilted Maple Burl Aristocrat Cabinet Humidor Just Arrived

Well after a 3 month build process, this cabinet just arrived.  This is my 2nd humidor these Aristocrat folks have built up for me, the first was a custom inside a book shelf unit. I am a collector of rare exotic woods and a wood worker and furniture builder myself (hobby), but I leave the humidor making to the real experts and these guys are second to none with their superb attention to detail! All I can is say is WOW. The quilted maple burl and inlays to the outer cab is magnificent and a camera does not show the pure beauty of this piece.

As for the interior due to my home having a hard time keeping temps below 70F in the summer, I had it built with a custom twin fan cooler. This one will keep hot summer months at 64F/64H. All shelves are pull out and one top drawer. The hinges are all the best top quality smooth as silk, brush nickle hardware and ball bearing drawer frames.

The cabinet is larger than it looks in the pics and the dimensions are 40" tall x 24" width and 24" deep. Should hold 50-60 boxes along with several hundred loose sticks. (As Bohn007 mentioned, "I might as well start building and Ark" LOL, since I've out grown my other in the book shelf humidor along with all my 4 table top units!) Hope this one will sustain for a bit as the Minister of Finance has already asked today, "what are you gonna do with the rest of the humidors"? 

Anyhoot, some pics below and I cannot stress enough how good these Aristocrat Humidor builders are. I KNOW fine furniture and how darn hard it is to actually fine good furniture builders with most getting mass produced in China nowadays. If you're looking for pure quality, look no further.  It ain't cheap, especially with the exotic wood I chose, but it will be a family heirloom for a long time.  Enjoy the pics and if you have any questions, be happy to answer them.

Looks great! You'll love it! I have two Aristocrat's.... best things I've ever purchased, one of mine is a temp/humidity unit too, the solid state coolers really make a difference!

Clutch - I'm a woodworker also and appreciate the great quality of what they do. Love the contrast of the quilted maple and the curly maple.

I still couldn't bring myself to buy one through them when I enjoy building things myself so much. I'm in process with my armoire size humidor (72 x 43 x 22) with about 36 cubic feet of space. That will give me room for some serious cigar purchases here soon. Just finished spraying the finish on the exterior. Will be working on the interior this weekend. I'll post pictures once I get it all done. 

I actually bought the humidification system from Aristocrat. Bob was a nice guy to deal with and helped me figure out my needs for the cabinet.

Yeah, the wife took a look at the size of it when I dry assembled the case and kind of freaked. "Where is that going to go?" was the first words out of her mouth. At some point I guess I'll have to describe the new man cave concept I'm working on next!  Here's a snap from the shop as I was fitting the cabinet doors. I'll start a new thread so as not to thread hi-jack this one any further when the cabinet is done and I start filling it up. Goodbye coolidor tetris!

Oh yea,as for filling it up... Our host here with Diana have been sending me notifications for the last week! 

Thanks for the kinds words to all, it really did come out well.  Temp/Humidity holding well now at 64/64. Cigars will start to go in next week!
