Lady Piggy has seen what I can do to a 1400 lb. horse when he goes for his food before he is 'permitted' to enter his corral and transgresses my space.

She knows that I love the horses!!!

No one touches my cigars unless invited to do so!

On the bright side it could of been worse...at least she didn't put the half smoked cigar back in your humidor.

first, like you need an excuse to buy a box of cigars!

secondly, i thought you were going to say your last tang monarch or something serious.

I know I know

But having a purchase fully justified and endorsed is an absolute luxury and one that seldom comes around

Thanks for the support everyone.

Last year I bought Melissa a box of the cutest little Du Maire. Tasty little suckers and together we powered through them after dinner parties. So she knows cigars, and how to clip them and smoke them. She was just too far gone when she got home the other night. And I mainly posted the story to show her the fellowship one has on this forum. I am not on Facebook nor do I visit any other forum. This is my only online presence other than Instagram. So when I showed her my post and al of your reactions this morning, she was in absolute stitches. Thanks for the laughs and support!

Carry on!

and hey, bit tough to be hard on your wife for doing this when you are asleep - if my sources are to be believed (but not named unless i want my suspension extended even further), you are not above getting home late, sneaking into one of her frocks, a pair of high heels, slapping on some lippy and having a bit of fun. this was her version!

but only if my sources are to be believed. and of course, i don't!

4) Your wife makes angled cuts on her cigar. Well, she is a serious aficionado

Ah, but the real question is how does she cut when sober? :P

Funny story, and clearly you are both blessed in the wife department AND deserving of a replacement box of something nice. :cigar:

I resolved this early on in my marriage. My wife has her own humidor and buys her own stock from Rob when she wants something. I don't mind if she smokes from my stash and she knows which humidors she can go in freely and which ones I keep my special sticks in (which she can also go in freely but chooses not to). Unfortunately its my father I have to worry about. He was helping me work on my house a few years ago. After I went to bed he opened up a btl of 1982 Petrus that I had been saving for when I graduated college and smoked 3 cigars, my last Cohiba Sublime, my only Tang Monarch, and a 1970's PL that I had been gifted and was planning to smoke when I got married. He only remembered lighting the Cohiba the rest were a blur. I think I cryed myself to sleep that night. shead.gif

Sorry about your loss but at least she gave it a go! hole.gif

Damn

82 petrus!

You are a good sport mate (OP).

I have a box or two of these in my locker at Robs. One of these days I am going to bring these home and when I do I will ask Rob to take one out for you!!!

Do I need request that Rob stand there and watch you smoke it!!!? Or have you learned your lesson? -LOL

Cheers! -Piggy

Well and truly!

But so has the wife, after reading all the replies!

I love this post. Not only did your wife go on a bender without you, but she came home and lit up a cigar to finish off the evening. Having not met or seen your wife I would marry her on the spot. Take good care of her, she's a gem!

Hilarious story mate, though sorry you lost a Party Corona out of it!

Ray, you're a generous fellow, well done mate. I offered one of mine as well - because I know I'd be heartbroken if something like this happene to the last of one of my Coronas too!

Were these PCC aged Stock mate? I havn't seen Party Coronas for sale forever now (and believe me I've left few leaves unturned!) - although I wouldn't be surprised if PCC has a few boxes stashed away yet.

No my friend, this was what was once considered undesirable stock, did I get that right Rob, and it was part of a dead inventory blow out that Rob did some number of years ago?

Rob could likely clarify better his position on obtaining the cigars, the back-story was unknown to me. I seem to recall that the first round of offerings went pretty fast and once a lot of guys got their fill, these cigars, yes, like the Party Coronas went a little stale and when Rob hacked the price for the last time I struck!!! The cheap bastard I am...!

That is the way I remember it anyway, while others around for the killing might remember better details. I recall paying a very reasonable price for these. No PCC premium BS. Our mate here got 'em and he sold 'em. No gouging for them.

I actually wondered at the time why he would offer these and not sit on them, but alas he is in the cigar selling business, not the cigar storing business. I would die rapidly as a cigar merchant. I would be constantly pouring over boxes of cigars and hoarding them, and not selling them....! -LOL

I just looked in my locker and I have just the one box, bought April 2, 2007, GSO AGO 06.

Kinda' makes me wonder what the hell they are worth today! Ah, hell... If I started thinking about cigars that way I would never smoke any of them!

Good to hear from you my friend.

When I first started reading your post I was under the impression you were going to say your wife cheated on you with someone! No offence to you or your wife man, but read it again with this thought and maybe you will see what I mean.

Anyways maybe what really happened is worse depending on how good the Partagas Corona was. I couldn't say since I have never had one.
