tomorrow is a massive day for me - I find out whether I passed my final Chartered Accountant exam and become a CA!

So I purchased a 10 box of Siglo VI ARG JUN15 last year - box hasn't been touched - I took my first one out And have been dry boxing since Tuesday

Praying to God I pass I can't go through this again - which leads to my question - what stick would you turn to when a special occasion is coming up?

I had an ARG Jun 15 Siglo VI during Havanathon last year and recently a few weeks ago. I can tell you, if your box is like mine so far, you won't be disappointed. I'd be inclined to go for something unique, like a Diplomatico Bushido, Cohiba 1966 LE or a San Cristobal de La Habana Torreon...but, hey, that's me. If you can't go for these, an ARG Jun 15 Cohiba Siglo VI should compliment the good news you are (most hopefully) expecting! peace.gif

Thanks :) yeah I've heard everybody rave about them but was waiting for a good time to burn one!

I'm just hoping I get good news and also hoping I don't have regret for only buying one box of these haha

Bought the same box. Can't remember but it's either HQ or PSP. I had one on Christmas Day and it was spectacular. You should love it. Good luck and congrats!

Siglo VI is a perfect special occasion stick IMO. I had one from 2004 (thanks again Trevor) on my birthday a few weeks ago and it has been the best smoke I've had since starting my cigar journey.

My next special occasion will be my daughter's first birthday in July. I plan on having the 2003 VR 5th Aniversario Maestros that I was lucky enough to win shortly after joint FOH. Very much looking forward to it.

I had a 2011 Behike 52 on my birthday last year. It was an amazing smoke and made the day. Although I have heard that recent production isn't quite to the same standard (obviously I may be wrong on this and am happy to be corrected!).

Good Luck. I am a CPA here in the USA and I remember waiting for the scores was dreadful. It is a difficult exam process but well worth it in the end.

Siglo VI will be a great way to celebrate.

One note of caution. Make sure you can take the time to enjoy your cigar and moment of celebration without too much distraction. The last celebratory Esplendidos I smoked was lost to the pool as I had to jump in and save my daughter from drowning. Kinda ruined the smoking moment, but thankfully everyone was OK.

My next celebration cigar will probably be an Eslavo when the kids are in bed or at the grandparents house.

I personally would go for something with some age and in it's prime.

I say smoke the cigar you like the most! I would fire up a Cohiba PE.

I would say good luck, but if you studied hard luck has nothing to do with it! You'll be fine.

Thanks all for the well wishes and very interesting smokes being thrown around :)

Best of luck for today!!

This is a new record folks. A high school cigar connoisseur! Good on you young man!

Personally I don't have celebratory cigars anymore. I have had enough life experience in the last few years relating to early deaths that have taught me every moment is not guaranteed. Smoke what you like when you like or you may regret it on your way to the other side. I remember trying to decide what I wanted to smoke a few months ago and just grabbed an SCDLH O'Reilly (of which I only have 15 left :) ) and lit it up because I had the time and the evening was perfect. I could have grabbed a Monte 2 or Upmann 50 to "save" the O'Reilly, but I wanted to smoke it. And was I happy I did. It was two perfect hours of smoking bliss that was it's own special occasion. So my best advice is to smoke what you want when you want it. It just makes this much more fun.

I've actually been out of high school for a couple years. But started smoking in high school as my senior year I was 18. I smoked a CoRo for gradation.

I have a 2003 Cohiba Lancero set aside if I get accepted into Ohio State for college.

You'll get in, don't sweat it. I went there, and had no problem and I had mediocre scores at best....

I know the Edicion Limitadas are much maligned here but i'm getting married in the morning and enjoyed an Upmann Robusto LE 2012 as a celebration. It was great. Like a Royal Robusto but with the addition of a load of dark chocloate ?
