As the title suggests, I'm interested to know if any members here have ever purchased and tried an El Septimo Cigar?

I use Instagram and often see these cigars, hand rolled in Costa Rica. Of course anything presented well makes one drool and want to try, but on looking into these cigars and seeing the prices, I'd much prefer to foot the cost toward some Behikes or equivalent.

Still... I'd try a sampler if I can find one.. That too is hard to find as their website isn't user friendly.

I'm curious to know if anyone has tried and what are your thoughts....

Many thanks smile.png

Seems to be a pretty obscure brand. Not much out there about these, not sure you can actually find them anymore.

Hmm regardless of any potential quality here, The perspex boxes point towards this as a product that is engineered for the "show" and definitely not the "go".

my experience with Costa Rican cigars is they all have a bitterness in them, from minor to pronounced.

I have tried 10 or more brands, not all of them, of course.

I blame the equatorial sun, just intense as hell.......

    * I believe Avalina Lara used Costa Rican tobacco in his manufacture of Graycliff cigars for that company's attempt at a "Cubanesque" cigar when they debuted. And "MEHHHH..."  :thumbsdwn:

Overpriced "boutique" crap aimed at a different crowd than cigar enthusiasts.  They make Davidoff look like a decent smoke.

Umm ... I've always loved Graycliff.

The original Red line, at least. I haven't bothered with a lot of the gimmicky crap over the years, and I never found them "cubanesque" in any way.

But I think they're unique and frequently extremely good.

I guess there's no accounting for taste!

The Crystal line was especially good, albeit overpriced.

This reminds of the the Adabey line as it comes from costa Rica. Not a bad cigar at all I have to say I enjoyed it. But not 30 dollars good. I would rather enjoy a great Luis or or M2 for 1/2 the price.
