I've seen some multi-punch cutters available on Amazon with 1/8 and 1/16 options. That's a little too small for me! jester.gif

I think the smallest Punch in production is the Petit Coronations (40 x 117).

Smallest ever was the Cigarillos (29 x 106) discontinued in 2005 pooped.gif

Sorry, didn't mean diameter but physical size. Something capable of doing 42-50 rg.

It depends on what you want for quality. There's plenty of Chinese-manufactured punch cutters (in marketplaces like eBay or Amazon) with key-rings which start at a little over 1 1/2 inches in length. For something more decent, Siglo make a cutter 2.1 inches in length and Xikar have a 9mm punch cutter that is 2 5/16 inches in length.

I guess it's more for when I'm out and about, maybe where the quality is a little less important if that makes sense, eg at the pub or something similar and to be used on cheaper smokes.

I know it's not what you asked for, but in those instances, scoring the cap with a fingernail and pinching off the cap works great.

And you always have your fingernails ( unless you're Wazza! )

Creedo Triple Punch is my best friend. I punch anything from Laceros to the biggest RG's habanos has to offer...for now anyways!

Ive got one of the older Model Xikar 007, 7mm Punches. Its just over 1 1/2".

The New 7mm and 9mm models from Xikar are longer though about 2 1/2" as JohnS mentioned above.

Not to thread Jack, but I severely damaged the blade on my 007, its my favorite cutter and I rarely use anything else. Xikar said they couldn't replace the blade, and that model is now discontinued so one of the new models would be sent to replace it. I told them I wasn't a fan of the new design and that they didn't need to send one. I chalked it up to experience and bought a cheap punch to bring out with me in the future.

Rather than reading my email and saying Great! Ken at Xikar looked in their stock and was able to find a box of the old model that was still sitting around. He replaced mine with an Identical model, even the same color at no cost. Even though it was my fault the original one was broken. Exceptional customer service and a quality product.

Have actually ended up doing that once, works surprisingly well!

Oh it's a big man who picks on the handicap guy.nyah.gif

Actually the last finger I shortened grew the nail back. It looks a bit like a claw and I have been wondering what to do with it. I might try using it as a new cigar cutter.

It's da craw.

Have a 9mm Xikar and ust it almost exclusively. Best punch I've owned and like the 9mm size.

I use a real sharp jackknife. Just a nice light slice and pop! The cap comes right off. Haven't even touched a punch or cutter in over a year or more. One could probably get one small enough to have a key ring. Plus side it may save your life if you ever get mugged!

Other than transport, I don't see much of an advantage in a punch. I only use the one in left in my work van. My only motivation in using one has been to prevent unraveling of the cap on thin wrappers. Using a quality cutter with sharp blades makes it easy to remove just the end cap. I use box cutters as well since they're always handy in my tool bags at work or at home.

I have a xikar 9mm punch that I keep on my keys, It's pretty compact. Great punch, stays sharp, super smooth mechanism, would definitely buy another (smaller). Looking to get the 7mm, it's more compact and the 9mm is too big for about 80% of what I smoke anyways.
