Lotusguy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ...or start a "Very Popular Threads That You Don't Like" thread... I don't think that list would fit into a single post
Franko Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Only got to: Any JL And Hupman magnum 50 Period:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ItsBarbarino Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ISOM Montes have never done it for me, I don't get the hype. Or the Oliva serie v, and Tat Black. Never done it for me. Sent from the Barbarino BatPhone
earthson Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Partagas Serie No.4 and nearly ALL long and skinnies! Wow! The only Partagas that really does it for me and my preferred vitola range for when I have the time... I guess I could leave my humidors at your house and not have to worry about coming back to empty boxes! 1
backslide Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Cohiba all, Partigas sans Shorts! Sent from my Nexus 5
tcampbel Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Ditto with those who have mentioned RASS and Edmundos. I keep giving them both a shot, but they always let me down.
Scrubber Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 To the people who don't like Cohiba...is it because they are so expensive or is it that you just don't like the flavour profile at all? Only Cohiba I have ever tried are Genios which I understand it completely different to any other Cohibas so I'm interested to know whether I should splash out for Cohibas or not. I have one CoRo resting in the humidor which I will try in the next few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KFBR392 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Adding another vote for PSD4 and RASS. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Only have had 1 monti #2, didn't do it for me either really.
TCContender Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 For me it is Montecristo Edmundos. I thoroughly enjoy both the Double Edmundo and the Petit Edmundo, but the standard offering does nothing for me. The flavors develop in both derivatives, but I find the Edmundo to be one-dimensional, IMHO.
aliz388 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 RyJ Petit Churchill, Short churchill and wide churchill.............just dont check the boxes for me... wouldnt turn one down if it were ever offered though!
KFBR392 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 The Lusis. Have some from 2009 and they haven't gotten better- in my opinion I'll take them 1
Fosgate Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Cohiba Robusto and Siglo VI- While good I smoked a Trinidad robusto right after a Cohiba and while both tasted just as good, when you ad $ into the factor the Cohiba just seems overpriced. Maybe aging more than a year will make a difference between the two? Behike 56- 2 yrs age. Again at the price point it just tasted like....disappointment. I think I bought Cohiba because of the name recognition as a first timer to CC's. I have since found what trips my trigger since and even if all were priced equally I would not choose the Cohiba. Montecristo #2- Tried 3 and all three were disappointments. 2 OK and 1 decent Smoke but nothing impressive that makes me want to order more. I cant see myself trying anything else in their lineup. 1
Waldschrat Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 One of my first CC was a siglo i I got from a friend which I enjoyed a lot. Bought one myself and also Siglo3, but both disappointing. Tight draw, uneven burn, no value for the money
tsolomon Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Monte 4s, just crappy construction with the two boxes I purchased. Tent pegs and lousy burn. San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe - keep trying them and just don't care for them. Party Shorts - been through a couple of boxes and maybe like 1 out of 5. H. Upmann MAG 50 - love the MAG 46, but the 50 doesn't do much for me. HdM - haven't had many, but they leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth. 1
Shrody234 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Monte: no 2, no 4 and PE The flavors don't do it for me, fresh or aged. Too many construction issues as well
Dozerhead Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 For me, it would be the PSD4. l love the Partagas profile as the 898 and Shorts are some of my faves, but the PSD4 always leaves me disappointed. Perhaps my expectations are too high because I feel it should be a more robust version of the Shorts, but to my taste, it is not even close.
airtrade Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Mag 50, I have had 5 or 6 from a few sources and have all seemed to be flat, little taste.
Dimmers Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 PSD4 for me as well. Have only had a handful and not overly impressed on any occasion. Has made me gun-shy with trying much of the Partagas line generally (a shame as I have around a dozen differing singles in the humi that I pause over at times but always find an excuse to smoke something else instead). But for the Serie D Especial EL which I quite liked.
BonVivant Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I had not enjoyed any from Limited Edicion since long ago and RE, since the production moved to Alabama, Luisiana and SC
wabashcr Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Party Shorts for me. I've probably smoked a dozen or so from a few different years/codes, and they just haven't done it for me. I like PSD4, 898, Lusi, etc., but I've always been underwhelmed by Shorts. It's crazy because seemingly EVERYONE loves them. I want to like them, especially since I enjoy the format. Maybe I need to grab a box from 24:24 one of these days and give them a fair, final shot.
phlee Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Monte cristo for me. Other than the monte especiale.
