ayepatz Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Tees off at 6.32 GMT tomorrow. Always great golf at St Andrews. With no McIlroy, smart money has to be on Spieth. 3
Popular Post El Presidente Posted July 15, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 15, 2015 ....thank God this is not about the Monte Open 7
HarveyBoulevard Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 That was my first thought but much to my happy surprise it was about golf. Just about my favorite event for a cigar. Top level golf with a great cigar. I will be watching... 3
ayepatz Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 ....thank God this is not about the Monte Open Had you worried for a moment though.
thecapo Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Tees off at 6.32 GMT tomorrow. Always great golf at St Andrews. With no McIlroy, smart money has to be on Spieth. Watch out for Brooke's Keopke and Justin Rose.
skalls Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I won't be disappointed if Spieth or Johnson won it. Want to see tiger play well again
Edrock80 Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Lets go Rickie!!...but wow a spieth win would be history! May the best man win! If the weather acts up a lot look for an older more experienced golfer to pull ahead.
JohnS Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I can't wait either. Links golf has no comparison when it comes to golf tournaments, especially when it comes to managing pothole bunkers! Plus, St Andrews is the traditional home of golf.
hungrylikawolf Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I hear the weather is supposed to be awful Friday and Saturday. Can't wait to see the scores as these guys usually tear up the old course. I'm going to guess we get a champion who isn't one of the big names Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
brutusthebuckeye Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Love The Open....i think the weather is going to stop Spieth..just got a feeling...would love to see him win it... I'll go with Jason Day to win over that French guy Dubousson(sp) in a Jon Van de Velde esq meltdown ...lol..
SmittyinAZ Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Always fun to watch. Weather can change everything.
Ken Gargett Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 ....thank God this is not about the Monte Open shame, st andrews, shame!
Ken Gargett Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 With no McIlroy, smart money has to be on Spieth. i'd reckon that, in those rare exceptional times when you have a woods or nicklaus or watson truly dominating the sport, there is no such thing as smart money in golf. likely/possible, sure, but so many variables. i would not be inclined to be putting dosh on any of them unless the odds were compelling. 1
Smooth Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I won't be disappointed if Spieth or Johnson won it. Want to see tiger play well again Johnson? Even though he had an 'injury' relating to 'coca cola'? Tiger could suprise in this one. Day for me out of the Aussies. He is a true gentleman and the softer conditions this week will suit him.

Day 1 definitely supports your thinking!
Ken Gargett Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Day 1 definitely supports your thinking! speith still up there though. also, the chances of a grand slam are so small, especially for such a young kid however talented, that i'd almost be inclined to bet against it, rather than back it. but be great to see (if an aussie doesn't win it). that said, i think i read where this guy plays a lot of golf with tony romo. immediately put me right off him, until i read that romo keeps backing himself to beat the guy for apparently quite considerable amounts. how can you not like a guy happy to help romo blow his dosh! 2
Pilsner14 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 A couple of golf pros at a local club here in Canada have been talking up this Willet kid since last fall......be interesting how he rides the wave into Saturday. Solid round today.
ayepatz Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Goddammit BBC!!! The press is full of all the great things you do and how we must not lose you, but you don't do a highlights programme for Day 2? Instead we get Celebrity Effing Masterchef? Seriously?
JohnS Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Goddammit BBC!!! The press is full of all the great things you do and how we must not lose you, but you don't do a highlights programme for Day 2? Instead we get Celebrity Effing Masterchef? Seriously? I hear you mate! Masterchef and Reality TV shows in general...that's all we seem to get on free-to-air television these days! 1
Orion21 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Tiger is finished. Dustin Johnson, even though his personal history is appalling, is a very special golfer. Anyone who can drive the ball 380 yards with accuracy and putt is going to be hard to beat. MERIKA!
ayepatz Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Spieth came good today. Great to see Harrington up there too, but what a day for Paul Dunne! Great to see an amateur sharing the lead going into the final day.
rckymtn22 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Wide open, hard to predict a winner out of the leading bunch.
TomF Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I wonder how many Monte Opens will be smoked at the Open...? And if more Monte Opens are smoked during the Open than any other time during the year.
Habana Mike Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Zack had a great round today. That birdie at 18 and his performance in the playoff, nice win. 1
