El Presidente Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 The cigar that you consistently pick when doing yard work, tinkering in the garage, fishing on the beach/bank, setting up the tent camping etc etc. Mine is generally a Mag 46 or Boli Petit Corona. if it is going to be a little risky (possibility of the cigar getting wet/damaged) then a Quintero Favorito gets a call up. Yours?
Habana Mike Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Well, aside from the others fishing is a completely different ballgame. Yard gars to me are those for which no attention is required. Fishing cigars are usually more special. Don't have any specific ones either way....
DoubleDD Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Usually a Quintero Favorito but sometimes a JLo 2 or Monte Edmundo.
Ginseng Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Quintero Brevas. Thin enough to keep between the teeth while mowing the lawn. Last long enough to finish at least the front yard. Usually burns fine until all that's left is an inch of rapidly unraveling shredded tobacco. Quite resistant to spit and slobber. Cheap. Wilkey 1
anjimj Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Mine is the Quintero favoritos or the fonseca Cosacos.
smokinjaycutler Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Quintero Favorito since I have a few bundles. Sometimes I indulge in Backwoods originals when fishing
Shikar Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Cohiba Sublime. I hate yard work. I hate that cigar. Perfect match so I avoid both. Regards. 1
dubleuhb Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 HU Majestics or Partagas Aristocrats, thin enough as to not get a sore jaw from holding it in the mouth while working and still for cheap cigars the lineage is evident.
Coolio Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 The cigar that you consistently pick when doing yard work, tinkering in the garage, fishing on the beach/bank, setting up the tent camping etc etc. Mine is generally a Mag 46 or Boli Petit Corona. if it is going to be a little risky (possibility of the cigar getting wet/damaged) then a Quintero Favorito gets a call up. Yours? Party Shorts. Or if it is looking really risky (ie. refuelling the car or changing bbq gas bottles), then one that tastes good cold!

Agree with you on this, I definitely don't smoke yard gars as I consider that a special event, especially when I catch a nice fish . For yard work, I don't smoke a yard gar per say---I usually smoke a HUHC. Seems to work fine for me while pushing the mower.
westg Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 partagas short ...went for squid yesterday and enjoyed a few
CigarDarr111 Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Party short, Rascc, Boli Co Ju.. all depends on the task.
OZCUBAN Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 With my yard work to it will have to be a double corona ? 2
Hunter1974 Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Cheap thin and long for yard gar plpc, hoyo palmas extra, plmc, Partagas aristocrat etc
subport Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Quintero brevas, JLP cazi I like all the minutos ps, bcj, rascc, scp but I respect them more and sit down and pay attention to them all the time.
cottierm Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I used to smoke RG coronas extra and SP Molinos when gardening but since their discontinuations I tend now to hoard them. A good replacement (for me at least) is the ERDM Choix suprême.
TheFullMontecristo Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I always leave my cigar time until I can put my feet up after any work has been done but generally any pc will do under these circumstances and especially at the park where I can let my Lab run crazy and I can just relax with a short cigar, chuck a ball and watch her swim in the creek.
HarveyBoulevard Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Yard Gars = NC Stash (haven't bought any in a while but I got enough for a couple years of yardwork) Relax Gars = CC Stash 2
