I thought I would start a thread that would highlight the cigar that you would consider to be a real diamond in the rough in regards to cigars. Something that is typically overlooked or even ignored for some odd reason.

Mine is the Juan Lopez Petite Corona. I discovered this stick almost by accident when I was looking around for a budget cigar. At the time I got it for $99 a box. I have smoked my way through numerous boxes of these and they have never failed to impress me. That delicious mix of bread and sweetness coupled with usually good construction make it a real gem.

I go apey over RGPC. When they hit their sweet spot, I love the combo of chocolate, honey, and traces of vanilla that they bring to the table. And at a bit of a bargain for a PC, too.

Sure there is a good half dozen of these threads in the past six months or so...

Nothing wrong with being 'current' though I suppose.

Qdo Coronas, ERDM CS & SLR Serie A are my front runners for this category.

Yes! I have a box from 2012 and I haven't had a single one that didn't knock my socks off. 90+ for all. Often I'll go for them instead of a RASCC or even a Bolivar Petit Corona.

Rafael Gonzalez Perlas. Every one I've had in the 2nd half brings a delicious cakey sweetness. Also Por Larranaga Montecarlos. Really surprised by how tasty they are, and no plugged sticks yet in half a box.

Agree 100 % on both and I would have to add The partagas aristacrat and Boli Jc !party.gif

I have to agree on the Boli CJ. I pulled my first box about a month ago and they have been wonderful. That Partagas Aristocrat is a great smoke. Old school Partagas flavor.

I've been digging the Sancho Panza Non Plus. It's so...different and so damn good.

I'll need to check out the Partagas Aristocrats.

Hoyo de Monterrey Le hoyo du Prince .... Doesn't get much of a mention but find them delicious. Cream and woody notes. Seems like other 'Petit Corona/Corona' sized sticks (although the Prince is a Almuerzos) get more of a mention but I find them a great mid morning stick.

Its heartening to see that there are other fans of the RGPC. For those out there that haven't had a box, I encourage you to get a box.

Recent production has been incredible. I have 5 2014 boxes and all are glorious looking. Call it PSP if you like. All five were ordered separately

Another honorable mention is the Romeo Mille Fleur. I am smoking one from '14 and it is very nice. Nice long filler PC in the $100 and under ballpark. Check it!

You'll be lucky, they disappeared a while ago - but I do concur.

For me, PL Super Cedros - a really great MM cigar, and once I have finished the 3 or 4 left from my last '00 box, that'll be it.

Partagas Habaneros a secret I've decided to share. Only so they don't become discontinued.

I'll agree with this. The du Prince, when on, is a lovely smoke.

LGC Medaille d Or #4 reintroduced to them the other day and forgot what an incredible smoke and flavor bomb they are.
