25 out of 25 ever? Your average strike rate

Have you ever had a box of cigars that were 25 out of 25 very good cigars (ok Trinis...24 out of 24 ) ?

No plugs, each of them enjoyable?

I voted 22. Used to be lower but these days I am getting a solid 23 out of regular production cigars. Quality is definitely up versus a decade ago.

of course it helps that all my purchases these days are from either our gracious host or on my trips to cuba where I do my own inspection prior to buying.

I went with 18 out of 25. Most boxes have been better than that lately, but the boxes that are off tend to really disappoint with the exception of a few great ones. I have also had really good luck with boxes of 10 at the 90% range for regionals.

I might get one or two out of a box that aren't great but most of the time its my storage condition that are the issue due to me being too lazy/impatient to dry box them

Hard to say. I rarely get 100% through a box all by myself. Usually the last few end up in the singles box, or passed out to friends. If I had to take a guess, I would put them number between 18-22. I'd say about one in five cc's I smoke is either rolled too tight or the tobacco is too bland. Tight draws are the most common problem.

2013 BTO Sig 6 from memory was pretty much perfect on every stick

I voted 22 out of 25. I've never had a perfect box. Always seem to have 2 to 4 per box that have issues, usually a tight draw.

At least in my experience, the smaller cigars usually has a higher success rate. I've smoked through a few boxes of Party shorts and Monte 5's, and every one of them has been consistent. Besides that, every box has at least a couple sticks that don't meet expectations.

this box of RyJ Short Churchills. To me they were perfect. Modern Davidoff-like construction and great flavour. Uncanny.

one or two little tight,but overall the most consictent box with silky wrappers, I like them better than the 1998 that I ve tried

I get 25 out of 25 all the time now. This is from current releases. Monte #2's, RASCC, Boli PC's, Punch PC's, Partagas Lusi's, RyJ Churchies to name a few.

In my experience of recent regular production, these are exceptional cigars in consistency of construction/flavor (25/25) and smoking amazing, since release:

I'd say my cigars are, at minimum, 22 out of 25, very good. I attribute that to buying only HQ and PSP. I've never looked back after that!
