El Presidente Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 This is a predicament for me and I assume others. You often only need to take three cigars out with you (wedding/function) and often that will encompass three different sizes...for me normally a CORO, 46, DC or similar. I have seen plenty of cigar cases over the years but nothing is quite right being too big (size/bulky/heavy), too small, too tight internally. What do you use? What would you like to use if you had access and the coin? Post a link or a pic if you feel it will help.
HarveyBoulevard Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I carry an Atoll 3 finger case. The cedar inserts come out so it will handle anything up to about 52 rg but holds smaller cigars well also. 1
fookite Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I have a few cases of various sizes, but more often than not I end up throwing three or four sticks in a ziplock and putting them in my sunglasses case: 2
polarbear Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 My current go-to case is one from Xikar It can fit up to 3 churchills at once but does struggle once the RG gets over 50 I'd love anything from Andre Garcia http://www.andregarciacases.com/ Been eyeing off his stuff for years 1
nick2021 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Some nice pocket cases, keep posting as I enjoy seeing them
Jeremy Festa Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 A black leather Savinelli. Triple cigar case, but its fairly flat. Perfect for robustos but extends up to Churchills. Usually travel with 4 petit coronas when heading out or to weddings etc The same one I lost in that cab but then called and they brought it back later in the evening! Stoked!
jsummers157 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 My current go-to case is one from Xikar xikar.jpg It can fit up to 3 churchills at once but does struggle once the RG gets over 50 I'd love anything from Andre Garcia http://www.andregarciacases.com/ Been eyeing off his stuff for years I use the same one and love it, though if I have a longer cigar (churchill for example) with some shorter ones, I usually use the Xikar for the shorter ones and put the Churchill in a hard plastic tube.
wea1959 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I'd love to find something that would hold 3 to 4 Party Shorts or PLPC's and still fit in a shirt pocket. It is often too warm for me to wear a jacket on an evening out and a 3-finger Churchill case in my jeans attracts too much attention. 2
Boosted Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 What I usually do is every Sunday, I will pack this 40 ct with what I think I might like to smoke. When I get to where I'm going, I will open it up and pull out a couple and put it in the Davidoff case. At the end of the week, I replace or replenish. I use a Coach 3 finger case too. 1
santela Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Goyard....on the hunt for one of these currently These are gorgeous, but last time I checked they are around $1000 I think? Waaaaay too rich for my blood.
GasGuy82 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Present from the other half. Visol carbon fiber and titanium weave Exceptionally happy with it. Bonus is that it is very light and strong, perfect for throwing in her purse or a suit coat pocket. 3
Ryan Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I've had a few cases over the years, from leather/wooden things to leather/metal things and never liked any of them, all too heavy, bulky, the wrong size or all of the above. I tried dozens of types between owning them and in various shops. Then about 8 years ago, I found this in a shop in Spain, gave it away in Cuba about 4 years later then was back in the same shop in Spain the summer after that and bought the last one they had. I've never found a case that comes close and I really have looked. It was about 35 euro, cow leather with an alligator pattern on the outside and lambskin on the inside, it's extremely soft and smooth on the inside. There's only one seam, so the outer and inner are each one piece of leather on the outside, lambskin on the inside. It telescopes out securely and has no problem holding 3 petit coronas or 3 double coronas/piramides. It will hold 3 tubed churchills. I rarely notice it in a jacket pocket. It weighs less than an ounce. The leather, both layers, are extremely thin and it has never damaged a cigar. The only manufacturer detail on it is Guben - Paris. I've never found another, anywhere, for sale. If I could find another I'd buy it immediately for a spare. There are few cigar accessories I've been happier with. 3
CaptainQuintero Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I have 2/3 of each vitola in empty tubes for carrying similar sized cigars around, love the old brushed aluminium style. Not a fan of the new slidey telescopic ones, bit naff design and colours imo 1
PapaDisco Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I've been using the Siglo 3 stick leather case, the one with the contrasting thread colors. They sell a lot of these, but I find them much too bulky. Good protection, and will handle 50RG ok and telescopes to any length, but I'd prefer to find something like Ryan's case but that will carry 4 sticks. Also, if you guys have any good suggestions for a slim, 6-10 stick carrier, that would be useful. Right now I just bag an empty 10-pack box and drag that to the dinner/party/club etc.
garbandz Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Surprising how much junk accumulates in 40 years........ My fave is the Brown DaVinci, best construction I have ever seen......... 1
Colt45 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I've any number, but in the end, I'm another advocate of empty aluminum tubes - easy protection in a small footprint. if you need help finding some, drop me a line....... 1
Hypersomniac Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Goyard....on the hunt for one of these currently I wish, those look great.
LLC Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I have a number of different type and size of cases but if I am going out with only 2 or 3 cigars I take this simple leather case my wife bought for me many years ago. 1
bacalao Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Had this Brizard & Co. case for years and love it. Had my nickname etched into the wood. Warped cigars has some really nice cases available for sale on their website worth taking a look at too. 1

Cornell Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Goyard....on the hunt for one of these currently Seems like you'll be paying a big chunck for the name and what I suppose is a trademarked canvas. Otherwise, they seem on par with other high end cases like Davidoff and others. Personally, I'd rock the Yeti by Fallon, LOL!!! 1
bacalao Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Your nickname is salted cod? Lol For Cubans it jokingly refers to someone who has bad luck. Eres un salao
