This is the last full day on Grand Cayman for the wife and I.

Wife has the right idea going to the beach mid day, but I have many errands to do like pay for shipping boxes back, return keys, etc.

Will try to run by LCDH for one last smoke. Kinda sad, been so busy with this move that I haven't been there but twice all month long - used to go every weekday and saturday.

We will miss this place - like most things in life, I took it for granted sometimes. Not sure when I will ever have an ocean view from my bedroom again.

See you guys on the flip side. Plan to spend a few weeks in Texas taking care of family matters and then off to Cali to find a place to live. Hopefully by June we have our stuff on a truck and are heading out that way.

Smoke em if you got em!

I moved back to Canada in 2010 after 11 yrs on the island. I have family there (my mother's side of the family ) and I miss the island a lot. I mostly miss my friends and the golfing and fishing. I also miss the "island" lifestyle and of course, the weather. No taxes was quite nice, though cost of living was high, which was the reason for leaving; too costly to raise a family.

I live on Cook Quay in Gov. Harbour and I really miss having a cigar on my back patio while looking out at the North Sound.

Best of luck on your new chapter!

Damn that island is such a nice place. I visted last year, loved it and was THIS close to moving with my girlfriend however I couldnt find a full time gig there. Now working for a company that has an office on the island I'm going to try to see if I can eventually move there for a couple of years to work in that office. Wish you luck Rushman and thanks for the help in the past with the island info!

Enjoy your new destination

Which is it? A path or a destination. Either way, enjoy the memories and have fun creating new ones.

So I told someone I was going to Grand Cayman and they told me to go to Hell. What's up with that?
