I'd have to be a lot more selective in my purchasing. My impulse purchases would definitely have to stop. Damn 24:24 already put me in a pretty deep hole as it is haha!

This should be allowed two votes. Because no matter I keep buying or not, I'm definitely gonna ***** on the internet.

I have enough to last me a lifetime at my current smoke rate. I'd curb my buying, dabble in NC's a little more. Most likely, I'd head down to Cuba and stock up on customs and farmies.

I feel as though I am already selective. Always looking/comparing for best ROI. Given US NC prices now I am not sure how much more "selective" I can be. :lol3:

Curse the US for normalizing relations with Cuba.

Right now I'm going to stock up, but if that actually pans out and as previously stated income salaries don't track then buying will slow down. But I believe that after the initial newness wares off, demand will fade like any other fad in the states. Prices will bump up for a while, maybe a few years, but in the end things will level off. Then what happens, Cuba will have spent all this money on supporting infrastructure and demand will have waned. Prices will have to drop........

Sounds like nothing new ... 2004 saw a 5% increase followed by a 30% ( compounded ) increase followed by replacing US$ with $CUC .

Nobody stopped buying in 2004 .

I can only afford what I can afford, and as such, I'll be more selective (unless I see progressive raises in my career totaling 22% over the next 5 years). Selective buying it is.

If this comes to fruition I wonder if it will pull up the prices of all cigars Cuban and non-Cuban alike. I remember in the late 80's early 90's when popularity of cigars went nuts and prices sky rocketed. Cigar dinners and events everywhere. Smoking was still allowed in restaurants and bars. That eventually simmered down as did the price of cigars.

Voted I don't really care.

Looking at yesterday's 46's, they would go from 185 to 225, that's about 1.6 per cigar, and that's five years out, big deal.

Or $160 more per 100 cigars and Vegas Robania Unicons $200 more per 100 etc. Almost like for every 100 cigars you lose a box.

Inflation will be half of that.

Not to cause pain and heartache with my foreign brothers but us import duties on cigars are 40 something cents a stick.

Prez,

I really think you need to either remove the last option, or allow us to select multiple ones in the poll, as I'm sure EVERY SINGLE person, at least on this forum, will do N5 :)

***** on the internet, but keep buying as the NC options are not for me

Probaby ration what I have, buy more selectively in cuba or just dabble in the occasional cigar here and there.

First I hope like hell my income has kept pace with cuban cigar inflation! Barring that, likely grin and bear it. It's still a cost effective passion/hobby. Less than motorcycles, golf, hookers and blow.

Not into motorcycles, can't hit a golf ball straight to save my life. Now, fewer hookers and less blow- that's a more difficult decision!!!

At the rate I'm going, by 2020 I will have more than enough cigars for the rest of my life!

First of all, if the embargo ends hypothetically , and it won't,, and the USA can start buying, I will spend a small fortune in 2016 and buy for my lifetime before production needs to double to feed the US monster and the quality goes in the crapper.

In that Scenario, I would not care about a 22% price increase.

2019: Keep Smiling while the others keep complaining.

2020: Run out of my cigars

2020: ***** along with everyone else.

I am doing that scenario execpt with more coolers innocent.gif
