I come from a town called Tangambalanga, which is at the foot of Mount Murramarangbong.

On the other side of Mount Murramarangbong is Yackandandah.

Just up the Kiewa river is Kergunyah, and on the other side of the river is Gundowring.

Further up the road is Tallangatta, and then there's Walla Walla, and of course Wagga Wagga just over the border in New South Wales.

There are quite a few oddly pronounced towns in Massachusetts. The most notable being Worcester, which is pronounced "wus-ter"

I took my son (age 3) to see the wiggles last year in Worcester and for the life of them they couldn't pronounce the town right. A lot of their stichk in their live show use the name of the town they're in. So they would try to pronounce it 3 or 4 times, then would just say "boston"

Named after Worcester in Worcestershire in England. It's where Worcester sauce is from, or 'wuster sauce' :)

Wustershire is the county pronunciation too

I grew up not to far away from you. South of Bowna (pronounced Boner) and on **** Road. (Albury)
