canadianbeaver Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Then perhaps the new Bob Dylan album is for you. That is all. 2
Maplepie Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Then perhaps the new Bob Dylan album is for you. I absolutely adored his Christmas album. But for all the wrong reasons. Just imagine what him singing "Silver Bells" would be like.......
garbandz Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Is that the "You Thought I Was Dead,Right ? " album? I thought he was dead...........

leftimatic Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Youtubed a bit of it. Ouch. Sounds like what happens when a key spokesperson for a bohemian hippy generation gets rich, old, and runs out of things to say. Good bye youthful idealism. Hello out of key crooning. Slow Train Coming started to spell the end. IMHO
JohnS Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Slow Train Coming started to spell the end. IMHO I second that, but I'm speaking from a musician's point of view. I feel he had done it all by 1976's Desire.
Fosgate Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I think this would make a great gift to my ex. Send her this album and a dildo. That way if she doesn't like the music she can do f#@k herself. Either way is a win.
Ginseng Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I heard a review of this album (and snippets thereof) on National Public Radio. It was cringingly evident the guy was trying to be kind and deferential in finding ways to avoid saying flat out that this was a freakshow, ill-advised, and completely nonsensical. I tend to agree. Just like Karen Carpenter can't sing opera, Dylan can't croon. Wilkey
canadianbeaver Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 A written review I saw said "It made my ears bleed."
