cigcars Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 FROM NOW ON!!??? You trying to get me strapped up in those Hannibal Lechter restraints!!! I don't care if I have A MILLION cigars on hand - I've GOTTA be about acquiring MORE! All the time - JEEEEZ!!! 2
rodrigodeanda Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Right now, with my current smoking habits, about 6 months.
Ptowncigar Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 At my rate? Probably retirement. Wish it was different, many cigars, no time to smoke.
madmarvcr Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 600 cigars at 2 to 4 a week, low end 150 weeks, about 3 yrs, high end, 300 weeks, about 6 yrs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
polarbear Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Your math is off....by a lot. You either missed a zero, misplaced a decimal or meant to say "week" instead of "day" Yep, sorry bout that Original Post corrected Thanks mate 1
LeafLover Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 My par is about 50 boxes at all times give or take five boxes depending on my smoke and buy rate. I'll consolidate the cigars to make room for more. Let's just say I keep two fridges always stocked. So, between 4-5 years at my smoke rate currently.
Deodato Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I'm sitting on a little over 400 and at a rate of one a week I'll be ok for eight years. Feels about right so I'm just aiming to maintain rather than grow the collection.
kittipong Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 4,000 cigars, may be can last long about 10 years.
ShortFatHokie Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I would guess five to seven years without buying before I run out...maybe longer depending on how many per week I smoke and the number of weeks out of the year I am able to smoke due to weather. During the winter months, I will smoke only a handful of cigars. During the Spring and Fall, maybe one or two per week. During the Summer months, I'll smoke three or four per week, sometimes more.
RijkdeGooier Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 It is difficult to judge this as I tend to go through different frequencies over the years - from as high as 5 a day to 1 a week. At 1 a week my current stock would last me the rest of my life easily, at 5 a day not
avaldes Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 When my triplets were born, I had enough stock to smoke a cigar per day for 3-4 years without exhausting my supply. It was the culmination of 10 years of collecting and aging. Unfortunately due to the amazing expenses associated with diapers, food, babysitting, healthcare, etc...I burned my way thru my collection and didn't do a whole lot of re-stocking. After 4 years I had to start buying cigars again, luckily the kids were out of diapers! Like getting a raise when it is X3!! Today I could probably go 6 months to a year if I slowed down. PS- I kick myself every day for not buying more cigars when I had more disposable income!! LOL! I should have set myself up for life:)

Skyfall Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 What he said If mine is decades, yours is centuries . I look at it as a College Savings Plan and Estate Planning lol. I could likely never smoke all the cigars I have even if I never bought another box again. They will never go to waste. It's actually in my will that they are to be sold by someone I have named and all proceeds go to my heirs. They only go up in value! That being said, I have been giving allot away to friends at get together's and poker games lately, and they are started to catch on, so if that keeps up, I may run out sooner rather than later. 1
Skyfall Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 You hoarders! Anything worth doing is worth over-doing......right???
aushy Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I've got about 150, and smoke 1 a week. That's 3 years as it stands.
avaldes Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 FWIW: Kids>>>>>>>>>>Cigars MHO. Agreed. Like I said, I should have set myself up before I had them! LOL!
leftimatic Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 As of yesterday (mmm Punch Punch) I can officially go 7 to 8 years.
Mr. Japan Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I can go at least for the next 15 years .
mrsgucia Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 A week maybe. My Retirement Saving Plan - buy a box a week for the next 20 years or so. This way I'll be save, smoking one or two a day for the rest of the days....
