I am looking forward to ten days of fun back in the cigar shop smoking to my hearts content. Gonna unplug and leave work behind. Will try to upload some thoughts and pics while there. Rushman Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Well friends. Got into Cancun around 8. Got to Playa and had a late dinner with the wife and brother in law. Was smoking a robaina famosos by 10 or so. Checked out the new shop, went to check in on the old shop, saw some friends who work in the restaurant near by (took all of five minutes for one of them to say "mas gordo, no"......thanks for that guys.) Amazing how the area has changed in less than two years. There is now a apple store on the opposite corner In the brand new Quinta Alegria plaza. If you ask me, muy gawdy, but whatever. Seth The resort areas (Cancun, Playa, Cozumel) have generally always been pretty safe, and are definitely ok now. The real danger areas for foreigners are the border towns (Juarez, Nuevo Laredo, Tijuana, etc). But now even those areas are acceptable to visit without too much risk. Still some cartel violence in those areas, but not like it was a few years ago.

I wouldn't say a vacation in Ciudad Juarez or Nuevo Laredo is a great idea but vacation destinations like Playa del Carmen, Cancun and the like are fine. I wouldn't walk around asking dangerous looking guys where to find "mota" here either. Gotta make smart decisions no matter where you travel.

It's on 1ra directly across from the Royal Hotel and right next to the sex shop. It's one block closer to beach from the first shop which is at 5ta y Constituyentes next to Yo Amo Tacos.
