Hi Guys,

Alex Groom (who is now running the CCW) will be in Sydney on Saturday 28th February, so I thought I would put on cigars, wine and snacks so he can meet a few of the Sydney guys. It will be a chance to quiz him on the future of CCW and put forward suggestions or requests.

All the regulars are invited and new starters are welcome. It normally starts at noon and finishes (in theory) at 6pm, and it's free ok.gif. You can pop-in for an hour or stay for the long hall.

Just let me know numbers by posting on this thread. New starters can PM me for the address.

Trevor.

I was thinking a drive up the highway might be due..... Maybe this might be the catalyst to twist my arm!

I'm guessing that because it's a few weeks away, and because February kicks off the start of the new 'Work Year' for most of us, that guys are holding off from replying to this thread until closer to the date. That's my $0.02.

I'm definitely keen to 'pick Alex's and your brain' Trevor and I'm confident more guys will indicate their attendance in the next week or two.

Hi Trevor,

I hope you have been well?

its been way to long and admittedly it was lucky you posted in the main forum because i rarely check the AU one these days.

Final Update.

Everything is a "go".

Alex is on his way up from Melbourne and my lovely wife Therese is preparing a heap of snacks, and I'm having some Pizzas delivered around 3pm.

It's on no matter the weather, from 12 noon on.

Cheers,

Trevor.

Thanks Trevor for opening your home to a bunch of reprobates... well, this reprobate at least! jester.gif And thanks to Therese prepping all that food.

Great to finally put faces to names. Wonderful way to spend a Saturday arvo; a cigar, some booze, and friends.

You guys all rock! The cigars were epic! Generosity shown by all was unexpected (and yet i should expect it being a member of this forum for so many years) and people came all the way from Newcastle and Melbourne! The afternoon flew by so quickly, every moment thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you John for capturing some of those moments. (as you can see, even my cigar couldn't help but show its joy)

Much gratitude goes to our host Trevor and even more so to Therese who was forever coming down from the main house to ask if we needed any more food or a coffee.

Good point Kam! I have to thank Therese for that brilliant coffee to compliment the great cigars.

Hi Trevor,

I do apologies for not being able to make it as John, Kam and Fuzz had asked me if I was able to attend but had family plans.

I was really wanting to go as well because it looked like a great turn out and fellow Sydney/Melb FOHer's was warmly welcomed (and spoilt)

Hope to meet you one day for a cigar.

Cheers,

Steve
