dowjr1 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 So I know this is a thread previously covered but...since chilly temps are hitting most of North America I thought it a good time to ask: what are some of your favorite winter smokes?
Hohenthal Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Anything Minuto or Perla, can't go wrong. Cheers
tmac77 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 The Trini Reyes, the SCDLH El Principe and the Upmann Half corona are my three go to outdoor winter cigars. 1
kuma Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Yes I agree. Living in the frozen north of the eastern part of the states aka New England where temps. average below freezing from the end of Dec. to the begining of March I can attest to the benfits of a small stoogie. RASCC, Sig 1, Sig II, Reyes, San Cristobal El Principe, Perla. In short any smoke that does not have time to explode or crack as you puff on it in sub-freezing weather. Oh, I must give mega credit to Rob's PE / HQ Porr. Larr. Encantos. Smoked two of them a couple of weeks ago outside on my patio in Freezing weather (of course I was near a fire pit) but none the less these smokes came through like the champs they are. Not one crack, tear, or uneven burn on these babies. I don't think these smokes get enough credit for being good. The ones Rob sent me have been oustanding. So this cigar was the exception and not the rule for large long smokes in the dead of winter. Stick with the short fast smoke in winter and save the others for either indoors or the spring and summer months!
Lant63 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Monte A Sent by telepathic super powers -Stogie Boy 2
earthson Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Quintero - cheap enough to pitch halfway through if it's too cold for you. Or just start a bonfire and smoke your favorite DC!
Cisco Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 HUHC, RG PE, PLP. and Partagas Chicos for those really cold days.
Optic101 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 No winter here ... for a short smoke beside all the mentioned I add the HDM Short Robusto.
BigBruce Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 My favorites are the SCDLH El Principe and H. Upmann Half corona!
GottaBeKD Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Pretty much anything I smoke in the summer. Sweater still required but it's comfortable with the heater running and garage door cracked open.
