AlastairE Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 So you live in a place with 4 girls and 1 other guy? I don't think you'd need to worry much about DIY! True but he must impress first. Don't sh@# where you eat right...? I'll just crack onto their friends instead 1

Now if you're taking a dusty ride down Copperhead Road you are on to me (insert shifty eye emoticon here). 1

Their flat packs have absolutely nothing on the intricacies of this Vintage Kitchen in pastel pink from KidKraft. This bloody thing took me 1 hour and 50 minutes to assemble last night. If I manage to get 1 hammock up, I'll be stoked I'll try get started this weekend, I need to assemble a tonne of IKEA stuff too Oh gad. You'll spend more time on the phone with IKEA customer support trying to track down missing pieces. And then going from hardware store to hardware store trying to match them up with something, anything just so you can complete the damn thing in under 3 months. I have assembled IKEA stuff before. I would rather shoot myself in the foot than go through the insufferable brain damage that can ensue. Please keep a guy posted. If you can pull it off in one weekend, I guarantee one official mancard for you! And entry to the DIY heroes hall of fame.
aes8 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Been there Aaron! The most unromantic, ungratifying purchases ever. Godspeed. Thanks Lisa, To make matters worse I need to,pull my own electrical, building and mechanical permits to finish just one of the projects. 1

canadianbeaver Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Thanks Lisa, To make matters worse I need to,pull my own electrical, building and mechanical permits to finish just one of the projects. Matthew tried that once, but after I peeled him of the opposite wall, never again.
Fosgate Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I have a Coyote and Raccoon infestation where I live. Things will turn the area into a wasteland if we let them as they kill a lot of pheasant eggs, chicks and adults on the roost at night. They also have a taste for peoples pets as we sometimes find cat and dog carcasses. I have a full length rifle but the barrel snags on many branches trying to walk the dense brush at night. Also would mind a shorter barrel to make it easier to bail out of a vehicle faster if one is spotted running. So this is what I built off some parts that I had laying around for the reason of the multiple colors. Started with an AR15 lower designated for pistol build. Then assembled off of parts here and there that I had laying around and ordered what I needed to finish the rest. Still working on the whole setup, relocating light, finish etc. First three shots through it were sending a couple of raccoons to their maker. It's loud and like a camera going off in your face due to the fireball. Going to have to get a Noveske Firepig muzzle device. 2

Looks you need the fire power with all them varmints running round. Get as many as you can, those bastards will decimate a farm given half a chance. Ever considered napalm?

Fosgate Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Even worse we have Ferrel Hogs starting to show up. Farmers have spotted a family of them north of me. Those things are shoot on sight. A large group can decimate an entire field of crops over night. Google "ferrel hog crop damage" and you'll see what I mean. Farmers here are just getting an idea of what could happen and are by all means wanting to eliminate the possibility to let them get a foot hold. Even going so far as reintroducing wolves to try and get a population established here before they get entrenched even though that's another problem in itself.

That is one TINY box for all that crap to be in there. Looks like a good project for a DC/Churchill in the garage. 1

But I can't light a cigar off the burner because they aren't operational. It's a children's toy, so it has to be safe for them to play with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jeremy Festa Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Challenge accepted!! I will use a stop watch and time myself. This should be fun!! I did exactly that. Now...when you see the instructions, and the nuts and bolts package, you will die a little inside. But stay positive, and focussed my friend, and the last 10 minutes are enjoyable. The rest is just pain!
