Sutton Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Looks not too bad. I know all of his movies have been the same lately but look at Jason Statham. He was kinda painted in the same roles. Hollywood just capitalizing on a actors "streak" . There cheese movies but still enjoyable for a "guys movie".

UpInSmoak Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 The original Taken is a classic! I still haven't seen the second....I have no idea why. I will be netflixing it this weekend. Liam is a bad ass! That's for sure.
MIKA27 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 This one seems better than Taken 2. I liked both, this one has a slight Fugitive look to it which changes the story somewhat. Normally I'd also say "How much bad luck can anyone have" but seeing its Liam Neeson, I'll be a sucker and watch this for sure.
sharks Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 The first was good, the second was quite bad. Maybe 3 strikes your out. Seems hollywood just runs with franchises these days good or bad. This trailer does look promising though fingers crossed.
Ryan Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 What's Liam Neeson going to punch next? An old lady? A wolf? A door? France? 1
tjohn7 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Still don't understand how there's so many of these. I couldn't stand the first one because of how stupidly his daughter ran. Watch this clip and tell me you wouldn't want foreigners to "take" her. Personally, I'd give her up.

MIKA27 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Worst. Casting. Choice. Ever I hate it when you have an A-List actor with D grade supporting cast. Completely agree and whats more, they keep the same actress in the sequel(s). 1

Steven Seagal, he runs like a girl! "Run Nico, RUN!"

"Run Nico, RUN!" Oh wow. I have never seen Seagal's running. That trumps Taken girl. But I totally agree. Liam is A-grade talent. The least you can do is give him some freaking support.
Fosgate Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I'm not on board the Liam train. The guy is 62 years old. Tired of them using actors from the 80's as action stars. Get some young guys and market them to be the new action stars. Guys like Liam, Arnold, Sly, Van Damm etc look like they could barely tear a pair of panties off their old ladies in real life let alone whoop someones ass. Leonardo Dicaprio is another guy that cant run. Look at how he runs at the end of this scene as he runs like he did in Whats Eating Gilbert Grape.

I don't think a younger actor would really have fit the role of the Taken protagonist, since it was intended that he be a former CIA officer trying to make up for lost time with his teenage daughter. A 20-something or a 30-something actor would have been a terrible choice for that role. I think Neeson played the part rather perfectly. There are plenty of younger action stars out there - Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pine (damn weird that the first three current action hero-types I thought of all had Chris as a first name) - who are doing quite well, but it would have been odd for them to play that role. Just MHO, of course. Cheers, ~ Greg ~ 2
