... Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 "Hope that's not necessary for a very long time to come." I hear you, hoping it too
Ginseng Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Pharoas usually started building many years before death since these projects were long to complete. You could start with a pyramid shaped humidor, just sayin' Who says I haven't A very meaty smoke for sure With hints of beefiness and sour mash. …make sure I am invited my friend. It will be a sad day, but I wish to retrohale the fumes! -R You know it!
Ginseng Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Putting my money on ~5,000 Gurkhas. That's just being cruel. Wilkey
Popular Post HarveyBoulevard Posted September 24, 2014 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2014 I have instructions for Rob to liquidate and pass the funds to my heirs as well as who to contact to help with pricing and liquidation of my home collection. Hope that's not necessary for a very long time to come. I have a secret note to be delivered to my wife so she can call Rob/Dee. First she will be SUPER pissed when she realizes how many boxes of cigars I have...then she will be thrilled when she realizes how much 'savings' I have accrued. 5
ramon_cojones Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Fully agreed earlier - "glass half empty" is always the case with some lately. Can't get through a week of posts without some pointing to the blatently negative, bitching and moaning about something. Who are you referring to? Please expand on this.
Ginseng Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Mind yourselves, gentlemen. I invite you all to utilize the PM facility where appropriate. Wilkey 3
ramon_cojones Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I didn't know cheap shots were permissible on this forum, apologies.
Guyman1966 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I am no expert, but have learned a lot during my time here at FOH. Where in FLA? I would be happy to photograph and help determine what they have.

Wilkey I didn't know cheap shots were permissible on this forum, apologies. I don't recall singling you out. They are not permissible but you are the one looking to escalate for a scrap. Take to offline. Take it to PMs. Take it anywhere but here if you, or anyone else has a beef with someone else. You are ALL on notice from the entire moderation team. Wilkey 2
stogieluver Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Can't this lady take some pic's or get someone to for her?

IPORTER Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Holy Smokes mate! First of all thanks for sharing this unique story. Super list you have there. Wish you the best!
Maxismoke Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Yeah, no cuban davidoffs, but not a bunch of Gurkhas either. :-) Her mother had an "expert" to put a value on the boxes, and they are WAY high. A box of HdM Epi #1 was valued at USD 500. :-)I've set them straight now. 1

Maxismoke Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Please define "expert". yeah, exactly. :-) oh well, i gave her an offer...
Ginseng Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Mmmm, Exclusivo. A couple of other very nice cigars in that bunch. Wilkey
... Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Please define "expert". Would make sense that the evaluation is 'upper spectrum of market' value since evaluators' fees are usually based on assessed total value. An 'expert' I had a chat with about evaluating butterfly collections mentionned 5% of total assessed value as fees. There lies the incentive...
Fuzz Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Now that's a list! Some very fine smokes in there.
AussieCanuck Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Pic or it didn't happen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
habanolover Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 The gentleman did not discriminate! Many fine boxes in that collection, I sure hope he not only collected but also made the chance enjoy smoking some of them before his passing. Best of luck with the offer Maxi and thanks so much for sharing!!
