Gents and ladies,

Sorry, been away quite a bit again lately. My 2014 has continued to be quite crappy thus far. If they say things come in three's, I'm screwed, 'cause I'm on eight's or so now. Lots of various family members' continuing medical issues, more deaths in the family, more stupid issues at work, more stupid injuries and such, etc., etc.

I haven't read or posted much on here lately. Checked in from time to time to grab personal messages, and Frank and others in the Toronto / Canadian crew have largely kept me up to date on the various goings-on here. Di messaged me and told me to ensure to read up on Ken's thread, "Grumpy goes home", or something to that effect - once I wade through all the pages of "new posts", I'll try to read up on that one.

I haven't yet smoked or even read blind cigars # 3, 4 or 5. (I think I haven't smoked # 3 yet, # 4 and 5 I know I haven't). I haven't read those reviews or the call announcements on those either - please don't tell me, as I still want to do them for personal entertainment, and for fun I'm still gonna do a blind call of those to Alastair.

Regardless of all the above, gonna get back in the swing of things here again, and hope to catch up online with some of you. This little "breath of fresh air" social spot has been a much needed and much missed reprieve for me. Definitely looking forward to the November trip to Havana as well, with fellow Canadian brethren, and those fools that are tagging along with Rob for his "Havanafest" itinerary. For the meek and weak - make sure to bring lots of Tylenol, anti-diarreahals, Gatorade, and hangover cure!!!!

Cheers all. See you 'round the Forum.

Hello there!

Not sure we've met before. Why not pop down into the 'Newbie' greets and we can get you started with some Guantanmeras for beginning smokes. Before you know it, you'll have a whole 50 ct humidor full of cigars!

Addendum: hope all is well now... It was nice to see you and Erin at the Megaherf, thought and various other shindigs around town. Hope you can frequent a few more before the Canadian weather starts setting too much in.

Canuck, I obviously don't know you, but I think of most on this forum as friends I just haven't met yet.

We all go through some dark times, but you just have to keep your chin up, keep plowing, take things day by day, and count your blessings every day. You might have to look hard through the darkness to find those blessings but they're there. Things will get better, and you;ll be stronger for making it through the wilderness alive.

Let us know how things are going with you a little more often.

Best wishes to you and yours.

If its any possible consolation to you at all, Keith, you know sometimes things seem to happen to us because there's a Bigger and Wiser spectrum at work Who sees cause and effect if some things don't occur. What do I mean? In April 2001 I had my co-workers telling me, "You've had a hard year!" because I lost four family members back to back within a 3 month period. As heartbreaking as it was I'm reflecting on the very real fact that had they all survived it would have fallen to my sister to have to take care of ALL their needs practically all by herself. And she already had a baby, a very sick husband, a full-time job, and a non-stop drive (that we've all chided her for) to get involved in every kind of church-related activity, etc., etc., etc. She would have been driven to a stroke from the weight of all that responsibility, no doubt. That was even with my best friend and I's offer to move my mom (who was one of those who passed away in that time period) to Atlanta, Georgia with us, and at least take that burden off her hands. I've told her and my brother that I believe Our Big Boss above took all of those family members at once like he did in order to spare her having to shoulder all that additional responsibility, which she would have done. So He took them all to be with Him then.

The best example I've heard in sermons when it comes to life's hard blows and losses is to look at the back of a tapestry - all jangled colors and threads that appear to have no rhyme or reason - just a twisted jumble of different colored yarns appearing to have no order, impossible to decipher any image or result. But when you turn it over and look at the front - "OOOHHHH, man! Look at that beautiful scenery!" Because on the front is where the lovely flower or winter scenery comes into clear view from a skilled hand at work. We're all happy to hear from you, my man, and keeping us informed on how things are going for you. You know we're all here for you and that you hold a place in our hearts. Keep your spirits up and holler at us any time. - Janet flower.gifflower.gif

Janet, you're always a true doll, a real gem to chat with.

Makes me feel like I'm about 13 years late in sending some bouquets of flowers your way though...

Welcome back, Keith!

It's true that things come in threes. If you've hit 8, you're just on your third set of threes! tongue.png

THAT'S partially what I'm afraid of!!!!!

Great to see you back, Keith smile.png

Definitely. Lots of times to share again, amigo!
