El Presidente Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 No....not that connotation What was the last cigar that you didn't want to end? For me .....Connie A LUB FEB 14 Friday. I don't smoke a lot of DC ...but if he Connie A blend was in a DC I would smoke them like no tomorrow....and when i needed a shorter cigar ...cut one in half
Lasabar Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 When a Monte No4 is ON I wish it was a LOT longer. Most of the time they are okay and the smaller size is goof for a bit shorter of a time. But when one sets off the flavor alarms in my mouth I always want to light a second one right away. 1

HA. i'd be able to fight dragons. 2. what if it were in a churchill size... what if, eh?
ehdg Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 LFDC SR love them! Just wish they where a Robusto or bigger in size.
Maplepie Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 What was the last cigar that you didn't want to end? any of those pre-embarg stuff. the longest pre 1980s sticks i have are the damn Coronas. lord help me as I missed out on a La Escepcion Diademas a while back. i really want a thick, long pre-80s cigar. Not for just the taste and the super enjoyment. but just to see what it's like, how they smoke, how a REALLY aged cigar that lasts long smokes. all that fun kinda stuff. It was more for the sake of curiosity and knowledge as they're only things that i've seen. I would love to see the advancement on a pre-80s churchill or what something that lasts over 1.5 hours would be like. would they get harsh down to the same point? would they even get harsh? Mind you, i'd really want any pre-80s stick
MIKA27 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 My very last Montecristo D LE 2005. I felt like crying but it was soooo good, had to enjoy it.
maxcjs0101 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 If El Pres can suggest cutting a cigar into half (albeit jokingly, i think ) then cutting my churchills/DCs into halves suddenly doesnt sound ridiculous at all. haha
Optic101 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 HU Sir Winston this weekend. ARG ABR 14. Just great in balance of flavour for me on that day. Very tempted to light another one. 1
shlomo Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 If El Pres can suggest cutting a cigar into half (albeit jokingly, i think ) then cutting my churchills/DCs into halves suddenly doesnt sound ridiculous at all. haha It's not ridiculous. I've done it a few times. Top part unravels which is annoying. Other than that it's fine.
Maplepie Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Top part unravels which is annoying. leave the band as close to your mouth as possible. it helps that IMMENSELY.
Maplepie Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 My very last Montecristo D LE 2005. (for some reason, they actually have a 'maduro' designation there. weird). 1

Cut away. You payed for it. smoke it as you wish....or tell them to bugger off! 5
Lant63 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 HU Sir Winston this weekend. ARG ABR 14. Just great in balance of flavour for me on that day. Very tempted to light another one. Same, mine was phenomenal as well. 1

Smallclub Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It's not ridiculous. I've done it a few times. Top part unravels which is annoying. Other than that it's fine. I sometimes do it, specially when I find a DC or churchill with a very tight draw. 1
Optic101 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Hi , just wondering if you tried these with some age and if so how they compare as some of the other HU seem to be smoking well young also While smoking I asked myself the same.Had a 2001 a couple month ago which was absolut excellent. Both kind of similar, the 2001 more smooth. Very happy with both and will choose according to mood.
rmill3r Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Upmann Half Coronas...I bought them for price and I wanted a quick smoke, but it's just too quick. The flavors are excellent and it's made me fall in love with Upmann, but it could still use an extra inch!
